Chapter 5

1066 Words
HENRY Immediately we step out of the Wilsons residence, I start complaining to my parents. I really didn't like Brenda at all given the way she was throwing herself at me. Marriage is a lifetime issue and I can't just commit myself to a cheap slut like Brenda. I don't deny the fact that I always engage myself with escorts and call girls but those are just temporary attachments to satisfy my s****l urges as a man. For a marriage, I desire a pure woman, someone doesn't flirt with every Tom, d**k and Harry, someone who doesn't act cheap in front of men and potential future husbands. Definitely, Brenda is not the girl I want for myself, lest I regret in future! “That girl looks like an escort father and I'm not marrying her!” I state firmly as we enter the car. I mean, Brenda isn't my type and never she be. She flirts a lot for my liking and I doubt she has ever lifted her finger to work or do anything in life. She is definitely bad news! “Don't worry son...” mother says. “There are two girls to choose from, after all could see you stealing glances at Beryl.” She adds then gives me a sly smile. “However, there's something off about her and I can't seem to place a finger on it!” her smile drops and she wears a sad expression on her face. “There's definitely something off about her!” “The only way to avoid troubles with the Wilsons is by marrying one of the girls. After all there's always a divorce option.” my father states sadly. Mum swats him on the arm, making him to chuckle humourlessly. “Wade and Judith's girl will make a perfect wife for my son and I've no doubt about that.” Mother observes. “You were right my husband. She's beautiful and down to earth and I hope they're treating her well!” she adds with a big smile on her face. She has really been impressed by Beryl...just as I have. However, I have a stream of questions running through my mind. “What about what people say about her?” I ask, staring blankly into space. Of course I've heard a whole lot of bullshit about Wilson's daughter who works with him at the office. I've heard how she uses her body to settle their clients or even seal a deal. It's not like I've believed any of the rumours but I also have my doubts. I sincerely hope that Beryl isn't like that. I want to believe and convince myself that those are just mere lies and rumours spread by the BlackBerry competitors. I sincerely— “See who's talking! Are you a saint?” mother interjects. “I'm sure those are just but mere rumours.” she adds. “I really doubt all those praises Tyler and Helen heaped on Brenda their daughter. She looks more of a hooker than an investor like they made us believe!” she concludes. I don't think Beryl is everything they have been saying but time will tell...well, I'm just trying to assure and convince myself! Come to think of it...I'm doing this only for business. I'm not the marriage type neither am I a husband material. I don't commit at all. I flirt a lot and sleep around aimlessly. If I marry either of them, all of us will be miserable because I can't just stick to one woman. However, I can't keep Beryl out of my mind. She appeals me. She walks with an effortless grace and elegance. Her blonde hair and sweet eyes always make my blood to boil. When our eyes locked during the dinner, I felt a hot sensation flush through my spine. I couldn't place a finger on it. I felt disappointed when she looked away. She didn't seem to share in my feelings. She looked distant from her family. She's kinda divided from them. She looked lonely and out of place. It's like she's living in fear. Her head was always bend down on her plate, maybe trying hard not to cross the line. Then we have her sister! That flirting slut! She thinks she can have me simply in the name of business? I don't think I can— “Son, what are you thinking about?” mother asks. “Nothing mum... I'm awed by the fact that I'll soon be married, probably to someone I've got zero feelings for!” “Don't say that son! Beryl is good for you and you two will make a beautiful pair.” she assures me. I just nod, hoping that everything will fall into place. All my life, I never thought I'd be in such a situation. Having to choose between two daughters of a prominent business man, one with a questionable personality and another one who seems innocent and unapproachable, and enter into a contract marriage all because of business. Oh no! The driver drops my parents home and after bidding them goodbye, he drives me to my house. We drove to the Wilsons in my parents' car therefore my cars are still parked in the vast parking lot of my house. If I were to drive to the Wilsons alone, I'd have driven myself, no need for a driver but my parents insisted that we had to go together therefore I couldn't avoid being in their company as well as their driver. The mark which that Beryl girl has left in my heart is evident. My crotch is burning and I need to lay someone with an immediate effect. I must release that urge! Luckily, I don't need to scratch my head for who to call because I already have her in mind.... Immediately I step into the house, I make a call to my girl, the one and only bull in bed, Becky and ask her to take a cab to my house. I know she can't turn me down. I pay well after business, besides, who wouldn't want to be associated with a Smith? Becky informs me that she's on her way and I walk to the gate to wait for her! Shit must get down tonight before I get to lay my eyes on the beautiful Beryl tomorrow at the scheduled business meeting!
