Blue woke up extra warm and feeling like her entire body was made of jelly. It became glaringly apparent why as soon as she opened her eyes and saw that someone—a firm chest rather—was blocking her view. Not only had Lucian this morning until Blue woke up, he also held Blue throughout the night after the nightmare she had about Niall Ryder again. Lucian must've felt the second Blue's body tense up. "If you're going to apologize for having a nightmare," the Head Alpha's groggy morning voice said. "Don't." Blue swallowed. She was just about to apologize for disturbing Lucian's sleep, feeling a little embarrassed that he had to witness her like that. "You're usually up earlier," Blue mumbled instead, her eyesight still limited since her face was nearly pressing against Lucian's shirt.
