Alexander Tudor
I ran at the speed of light, the feeling of my legs starting to disappear but I didn’t stop. I didn’t want to, or maybe I couldn’t? It was because if I did, I knew what would be greeting me back there.
Faking smiles, forcing laughter, it was the same thing every single day. I was sick and tired of meeting wolves and higher beings and having to listen to them talk about my future. My future, so why did they have a say in it?
Don’t get me wrong. I had no problem becoming the King when the time comes. Being born the only son to the Tudor’s of course immediately gave me that title. This was the life I was destined to live, but honestly… can’t a Prince also get a break from time to time?
That’s what I wanted, what I needed, so that is why I am running. I grabbed the top of my tie and began pulling it to loosen it and eventually threw it to the side. Next was my coat, oh my beloved coat that my father had just gotten tailored.
“Papá, lo siento (Papa, I’m sorry).” I muttered before throwing it to the back as well, completely leaving it behind.
The night was more chilly than usual, but I didn’t want to run into the city wearing a suit and tie. I’d catch the attention of passersby immediately and that simply wouldn’t do.
While I was running faster and faster, the tension and the fear of being caught by the bodyguards set by my parents started to slowly disappear as the sounds and scent of theirs began to fade away as well. Soon, I will be amongst the people and it will be harder to find me.
I pushed away some branches that were in my way and by the thirtieth time I did that, my eyes lit up and my mouth hung wide open at the sight that beheld me.
It was beautiful. The sound of the waves crashing, the smell of the fresh air, and even freshly-cooked Spanish cuisine all in the town of Sàrria-Sant Gervasi. I was excited when I found out we were meeting some of the Elders near this place since I had been wanting to go here again for quite some time.
I spotted a small store that was selling some clothes and I hurriedly went inside.
Sunglasses, check. Cap, check. Black shirt, check.
I think this was good enough to not stand out. I thanked the woman handling the store and walked outside feeling like I could stroll around the place much freely now.
This was perfect. The last time I felt this at peace was when I was a little boy and I was able to visit an arcade and even if it was just for a few minutes, seeing all the games in there made me feel like a normal little boy just enjoying his weekend.
I found myself getting closer and closer to the beach, taking off my shoes so I could feel the sand and before I knew it, I was already laying down and admiring the stars that lit up the sky so brightly and for a moment, for a quick moment, everything was just right.
“Hey! Stop! That’s mine! You better get back here!”
I was instantly disrupted from my tranquility when I heard the voice of a very angry woman running behind me. I turned around and spotted her following a sleazy-looking man and I was able to deduce that she was getting robbed.
For a few seconds, I contemplated between standing up from my spot and helping her out, but there was a part of me that said I shouldn’t as this would definitely bite me back in the ass.
Where the hell are the guards in this place exactly? Ugh.
“Give that back to me, you stupid piece of poop!” I snorted at her words. She is definitely not from here.
I wasn’t really sure when it was or what it was that made me stand up. Was it out of my sense of justice and wanting to help or was it out of curiosity to see what kind of woman she was to be spewing such words?
Whatever it was, I was running and running, again.
The sleazy man had some stamina, but I of course had it better. We had ran outside the beach area and he had entered a corner thinking this would make it easier for him to escape, but he didn’t know that I had better vision in the dark. I discovered it when I was younger, and my parents told me I was to gain more skills the older I got.
“Vete a la mierda (f**k off)!” He shouted as he turned to me. Oh, but that was a bad decision because in that one second glance, he didn’t notice there was a pile of boxes ahead of him and he tripped instantly, falling like a domino.
I tried to contain my laughter, but I failed and I was chuckling even when I was staring at him from above. He laid flat on the ground, embarrassment written all over his face.
I kneeled down to him before getting a hold of a phone. “Me quedaré con eso (I’ll be taking that).” I told him as I effortlessly grabbed it.
There was a bit of light coming from the moon and when it stayed underneath us, I realized the sleazy man actually couldn’t be more than a couple of years younger than me, around fifteen years old. Well, crap.
I let out a deep exhale before pulling out my wallet and took out all the money I had in it. “Stop stealing. Find Gio’s Pharmacy and show him this.” I passed him a white card with my name written on it. “He’ll give you a job. Time to grow up, kid. Tu futuro depende de ti (your future depends on you).” I told him before pulling him up and motioning for him to get the hell out of here.
As I watched him disappear after he jumped up a wall, I thought about what I said to him.
Was it time for me to grow up too?
“Hey, I got you now!”
I turned around and saw the same woman rushing towards me. She was panting excessively and her hair was all sorts of mess, but that didn’t stop her. She must think I was the same man who took her phone.
Just as she was nearing where I was, I stepped to the side to avoid her impact and this caused her to slip, but I immediately caught her.
Her head shifted to look at me, her face a mix of embarrassment and shock, but what caught my attention the most were her eyes. A different shade of gray and hazel. I’ve never felt that way before, but the second she looked straight at me, my heart almost jumped out of my chest. What the hell is going on?
“Let me go, ugly!”
Did she just call me ugly? Not exactly the thank you I was looking for after getting her phone and helping her not slam her face on the ground.
She pushed herself off of me and hurriedly fixed herself. “Give me back my phone!” She shouted, her hand stretched out as she continued to catch her breath.
It was obvious she was from somewhere else. She had an American accent with the mix of something else I couldn’t quite pinpoint. She couldn’t be just full American though, her olive skin told me otherwise and some features on her face as well.
“I wasn’t the one who stole it, just so you know. I got your phone and your suspect jumped that way.” I told her and pointed in the direction before passing her the phone.
“I know.” She said before hurriedly grabbing her phone.
Once she took it, she turned around and started to walk away.
“No thank you?” I shouted out to her and then she suddenly stopped.
There was a few seconds of silence until she finally turned around, her head looking down at the floor and she was fiddling with her fingers.
“Gracias.” She said barely audibly and I couldn’t help but be amused by her actions. She was by far the most interesting person I have come across.
“What’s your name?” I asked and then she looked up at me, her eyes narrowing directly at me as if she was debating something and all of a sudden, she turned around and started walking away once again.
“That’s none of your business, stranger!” She shouted out before running and then she was gone.
Little did she know that I caught a quick glimpse of her phone and her name was written at the back of her phone case.
An amused smile formed on my lips as my heart skipped another beat at the thought.
“I’ll see you around… Anita.”

Hi, Hola, Ciao! First of all, I hope you all had an awesome holiday and I wanna greet everyone a very happy new year and I hope you all have a wonderful 2022! x
Second, I want to welcome you to the second book of The Billionaire Wolff which is mainly a standalone sequel.
For those who don’t know, I recently had to take down a suspense story I did for a few chapters because of some problems and I eventually couldn’t continue writing it. I still do apologize for that mishap especially to those who were already reading. :(
Anyway after that, I began writing this one and I’m happy to say that daily updates will officially start on February 1 ♡
For those waiting on the third book of A Dare With The Bad Boy, The Queen of Dares, that is still on the waiting list once I finish this one. :)
I am planning to write around 60 chapters for this so it will be going on from February to March.
Based on the description and the little teaser above, this story will center on Maximo and Anya’s children, Anita and Mathieu, mostly Anita, and I do hope you come to love and enjoy the new characters here. But of course there will also still be snippets of our original faves. ⭐︎
Thank you guys so much for your endless support, kind comments, and for reading this. Click the heart/follow button to get updates on this book and see you all again soon! ♡ x
