There was so much happening all at once. Kollin and I just met, mated, and now have a house together. In reality, this is unbelievable, but it felt right. As a little girl, I dreamed of this kind of life, being around family and having people who cared about me. Kollin and I walked upstairs to look around. There must have been four or five bedrooms, all furnished with luxurious furniture. We found the master bedroom; it was stunning. I could not believe this was my house, just at the drop of the hat.
"Kollin, can we talk?" I asked. "Of course, Scar, what's wrong?" He mumbled. I walked over to him and placed my head on his chest. "I'm not mad; I just want to make sure we are doing this right and not rushing anything," I sighed. "I think it is all a little fast, but in a way, it"s past due. Had you been here when you turned eighteen, then all of this would have been slower, but we are catching up," he reassured me. "There is one thing that I need to tell you, and it will most likely make you furious with me, but I want you to know that I do care about you, and I wanted to let you meet your father before I told you," he blurted. I raise my head and look at him with such confusion. I couldn't imagine what else could be told. "What? Why would I be mad?" I wondered.
"I told you about my family and my brother. My brother is my twin, his name is Merric. There is a high possibility that he is also your mate," he said calmly. I was frozen into place; I wasn't angry, though. I understood why that would happen, and I understood why Kollin waited to tell me because if I had known that when I was still at home, then I might not have come. I remembered Kollin telling me that he and his brother had gotten into a fight. "Was the fight about me?" I asked. Kollin sat down on the foot of the bed, "Yes, he wanted to be the one to go get you, but I told him that he couldn't because I had gone to the alpha and gotten permission behind his back. I was being selfish and I'm sorry little Luna" he whispered. "It's okay, Kollin, I can't be mad at you, but I do want to meet him... now," I stated.
Kollin got off the bed, grabbed my hand, and walked me back outside. "where are we going?" I asked. "my brother and I shared a little house just a little further down the road," He replied. "Are you okay with this? Sharing me?" I asked as we continued to walk down the road. "We are twins; we knew that this day would come. I feel awful for marking you before he met you, but that happened because our connection is so strong. You are my person, Scar, and I will do anything it takes to have your presence in my life," He declared. My heart melted; it made me want to jump up and kiss him, but I could tell he was worried about how his brother was going to react to me being marked already. Kollin held onto my hand for about five minutes while we continued walking, and then we took a turn onto a small gravel driveway leading to a small light blue house with Christmas lights still up on the front porch. Kollin walked onto the front porch and knocked on the door while I followed. I was so nervous; what if he's not like Kollin and doesn't like me.
The door swung open, and I saw Kollin smile. I am standing back and can't see who opened the door. I could hear whispering, and then Kollin nodded and looked at me, still smiling his gorgeous smile. Merric steps out onto the porch and takes a long look at me. I walk closer to him and Kollin, standing side by side; I nervously start playing with the ends of my hair. "This is Scarlet; she knows everything," Kollin said confidently. "Hey, Scarlet, it's so good to finally meet you," Merric said with a smile that made me instantly turned on. Merric had the same dark, bad-boy thing going on as Kollin; they weren't identical twins. Merric was a little shorter than Kollin, but he was still tall and had softer features. He was wearing an all-black fitted t-shirt, and I could see every muscle. I reached my hand out and shook his hand, "It's nice to meet you too, Merric," I said. Merric grabbed my hand and pulled me into his chest for a hug.
I felt the connection to him just like I had for Kollin; I felt my eyes darken. I looked over at Kollin, and I could tell by his face that my eyes were glowing again. Kollin nudged Merric and pointed at my eyes. Merric released me to look. You would have thought I put them under some kind of spell. "why do my eyes glow but not yours" I asked quickly. "It is the royal bloodline; it's what determines the Alphas and Lunas. Yours are like a yellow and golden glow which we've never seen ourselves," Merric said excitedly. I blushed and looked around for a second, "Do y'all want to go back to my... our house? Sorry, I don't know what to call it right now," I laughed. They both laughed and started walking with me. While walking back, I grabbed Kollin's hand just out of normalcy and slid my other hand into Merric's hand. I could literally feel both of them, and they were so happy.
We went inside the new house and went to the kitchen area. I was hungry, and I guessed Kollin was, too. While looking around inside the pantry that was fully stocked, I asked, "Merric, what all do you know about me?". Merric started to reply, " I know that you grew up alone in a small town and had a couple of friends". Kollin's growl interrupted Merric while he was talking about my friends, meaning Myles. I giggled at Kollin's reaction, but Merric had no idea why Kollin was ill about my friends. "Kollin, what did you do?" Merric said laughing. Kollin smiled at me, "Well, our Luna had two friends, Aiden and Myles, and she had a friends-with-benefits thing going on with Myles," Kollin said in a teasing tone. "Scarlet! How dare you," Merric said, laughing. I rolled my eyes at them and pulled out stuff to make chocolate chip waffles.
"yeah, yeah, so you've got the story on me; tell me something about you," I insisted. "Well, my favorite color is red, I like fishing and riding motorcycles, and I do not drink." He laughed. "I think we were all meant to be," I giggled. Merric looked confused. "we all like bikes. Mine just isn't here," I snarled. Kollin walked over to me, "Scar, it was supposed to be a surprise, but I called and asked a friend if they would go pick up your bike and bring it here. They will be back before the morning," he said. I was so happy I slung my arms around Kollin and hugged him.
"All is good, princess; why don't you sit down on the stool and relax for a few minutes. I'm sure Kollin and I can make chocolate chip waffles, and even if not, we will at least make you laugh," Merric said, joking. I walked around the counter and sat down, I watched them both laughing and making messes. The only thing I could think about was how we were going to bed tonight. Are Merric and Kollin going back to their house, staying here but in separate rooms, or are we all in the master bedroom? I didn't feel like doing anything because I felt so drained from Kollin. Then, I rode up here, met my father, and now my mate's twin brother, who is also my mate.
