Two months ago
I was pacing the length of the office floor after the news my investigator gave me.
Martin and Sari were going public!

Needed to stop them somehow; it’s going to be tough since he is the freaking ‘King’ of the continent.
My fingers were curled up in a ball as I halted right behind my desk. The investigator was shaking in fear due to my anger.
“S-sir?” He gulped receiving no response from me.
“How about finding someone more powerful than him or… equally powerful?” The moment he said it, I glared at him fiercely.
“WHAT DO YOU MEAN?” I shouted, ready to throw the paper weight on his head.
He inched back, hands up in surrender as a whimper left his mouth.
“Pardon, sir. Pardon!” He repeated with visibly shaking legs.
