Running from the pack

Pool party time!

It is now noon and the party is starting! We have pizzas and Margaritas. The ladies are lounging by the pool so far nothing bad has happened hopefully it stays quiet. We need this peace and quiet for now! After about an hour of sun bathing we decide to entertain the pool, we play volleyball and splash around I am so happy to finally reward all the ladies after they have worked so hard! I Look over and see my best friend she looks so beautiful! All of a sudden I’m not feeling well again and I need to rest and get out of the sun. I tell Nancy and the ladies to enjoy themselves as I walk back to the pack house, I just need to lay down for a while I just need to rest.

****** Nancy’s POV *******

I really hope, Anna is okay she has not been acting like herself lately! Always tired, sometimes forgetful. I hope she will be fine! I watch her walk away, and turn back to the ladies I know this is childish but I take out super soakers from the kids toy chest on deck I secretly fill a few and run out making sure to soak anyone that has not entered the pool!

We all start to laugh, as the ladies grab a soaker each and the game is on. After four hours we all decide we had enough and clean up to end home back to our life’s and to be responsible!

I walk in the door and Mark greets me he has a worried expression on his face and I know something is bothering him, as I walk in the door and close it behind me I set my things down and walk softly to him. I wrap my arms around him as I wait for the words to come out of his mouth words I thought I already knew. Mark clears his throat and beings to tell me Anna had passed out on the walk home Dan found her on his patrol of the grounds she is in surgery now. “I am shaking, my whole body is trembling,” from his words. this is my best friend and my sister, and she is in surgery while we all had so much fun without her. I knew she was off I knew she was in pain I could tell. “ I am such a shitting friend!” I turn to mark with tears in my eyes, I ask him what had happened and how she ended up in surgery, I need to know will she make it!

***** Dan’s POV ******

I am on patrol wondering down the road I feel a pain, a sharp stabbing pain in my chest, I know something is wrong with Anna. “Anna” I call through the mind- link with no response. My Wolf is going crazy! He knows his mate is in trouble he knows we need to find her.

I am already in Wolf form as it is my turn to roam the grounds and check on the borders, I mind-link Mark to meet up with me after I filled him in on what is happening to me. We both check out areas she should be at, we notice the ladies at the pool and how Nancy had started a super soaker war which both Mark and I would of joined in if it hadn’t been the fact that my mate is in pain and not responding. I already went home and tore through the pack house like a maniac trying to find my mate. I decide to walk through the garden area as Anna loved the flowers that is where I found her laying on the dirty ground unconscious. She is breathing but barely I shift backed and picked her up, I start running to the pack hospital I already informed the pack doctor what is happening he is also meeting me here and I let Mark know I found her and were I was going! Upon arrival they take my mate from my arms and a younger nurse throws me a pair of basketball shorts. I thanked her as I put the shorts on and walk to the room, but as I approached the room I was told to stay out and stay out of the way! My wolf is going mad my beautiful mate out beautiful mate, is in pain and unconscious we are the Alpha here we should be with her holding her hand hugging her, making her feel better, I am trying to control my wolf. When Mark greets me and holds me down and something is inflected into my neck! I fall limp on the ground or so I thought darkness takes over.

*****Mark’s POV *****

I was mind-linked by Dan about finding Anna unconscious and barely breathing, I did not tell him I was coming as I was going to get Nancy then head to the hospital, but the doctor mind -linked me about the Alphas behavior and I knew they needed me to help sedate him. Anna might die all because his Alpha blood would get in the way!

I approached Dan, and hug him tightly as the nurse put the needle in his neck and he starts to fall into my arms, they rush a bed over so I can put him down softly he needs to sleep for a while. Hopefully he won’t hurt me to bad. I just hope Anna makes it and she is okay they rush her into the surgery room. I wait for her surgery to start before I head home Nancy is going to kill me first not telling her that Anna is in danger and in surgery. She walks inside all chipper and clueless as she looks at me she knows. She is freaking out, before I can even finish telling her she rushes out the door and shifts midair that’s the only way she can get there fast.
