CHAPTER 11: SCARS, WOUNDS, AND SCHOOL WORK When I gained consciousness I was laying on the den floor naked and sore—so nothing unusual for the morning after. Slowly I gathered myself up and left the den, undoing a number of lock systems in the process. I had left some underwear and a large t shirt just outside the den so I pulled those on before heading into the bathroom across the hallway to inspect my wounds. Every full moon my wolf scratches me up, a by-product of being contained while shifted—but hey at least I wasn’t out running free and killing people. Most cuts healed within days – taking a week at most – before any sign of them disappeared completely, but there were some that just ran too deep not to leave a scar hence all the scars I currently had despite my enhanced healing. I m
