*Rosie Fay-Donovan* The entire drive back home was excruciating, to say the least. Archie didn't utter a single word to me, and I didn't try to engage in a conversation with him either. I saw his fingers clenching the steering wheel every once in a while, but I didn't try to find out what was going through his mind. If anything, I just wanted to get away from him. I wanted to curse at myself for ever thinking, even for a brief second, that he had suggested we go home so we could just have a private moment and continue whatever we started back at the party. It was laughable, really. I was a laughing stock. Falling for his charms, allowing him to sway me like that as if I had no control over my emotions or feelings. No matter how much I wanted him, I shouldn't have allowed him to kiss me
