Axel’s POV
We walked into my Kitty Cat’s room and there she was, lying on the bed with a tube down her throat and so many other tubes and wires coming out of her. She had bandages covering a lot of her, as well. Her hand was in a cast and had been placed on a pillow. The places on her face that weren’t black and blue looked so pale. Her skin was almost translucent. I walked over to her bed and pulled up a chair and just started crying.
How did we let this happen to our mate? We were supposed to protect her. Not do what we did and definitely not let happen, happen, and now she was fighting for her life. I saw Dax had grabbed a chair as well and was on the other side crying as well.
