MAX, THANK YOU.

"Run, Sophia, Run!" I shudder from where I am typing, and I look up to see beads of sweat dropping from Ben's forehead. "Run!" He cries out, sad, amazed, and angry at my disobedience. Before I can move an inch, the door to the room split up. Slowly raising up my head in absolute wonder and shock, I see a tall badass paranormal being. I look around to get some help from Ben but I can't see him again. My instinct tells me he is the paranormal being right at the door post. This is not a Wolf. "Who are you?" I stutter, and it moves near me with creeping steps in large paces. "Who are you!' I scream and it moves fast, clutching onto my throat. My mouth squeezes as a result of that, and I look into his eyes. Deadly and Bloodshot. I am dying, I can see him pulling the nape of my neck to his freaking teeth - teeth? Claws! Sharpest incisors at both ends, with a lower incisor in the middle. He turns back into a human, and storms out of the room. Just let me get outta here. Never will I return to this beast. Ben rushes into the room with speedy and repeated thuds on the tiles. I look up, and gaze at him. "Go bathe! Let's go to school." He commands, and I shrug. "Where's the bathroom?" I ask, and he points at the left direction of the room. "And do you have a bath tub?" "No. Only a shower." He replies, and I wrinkle my forehead. I stand up from the chair, and move to the bathroom. I open the door, and enter, shutting it behind. In ten minutes, I am done. I put on my school uniform, and clutch my bag to my side, in view of clutching it onto my back. "You are done?" He asks, and I nod. "Move to the car. Your luggage are in the boot already. Won't you go with some clothes too?" He asks, and I remember immediately: "Am I going to wear only this uniform throughout my stay." I reach out for the travel bag, and raise it up for him to see. "Okay." He answers, and we both get out of the room. We enter the car, and zoom off. Once we get to school, we alight, and walk up to the left hall. An Officer looks at me disdainfully, and I face another side. He gives me a form, I fill it out, and return it. He accepts it with jerking it off of my hand. I sigh, and leave with Ben. We enter the car again, and drive into the hostel. "Woohoo, we are there!" I remark, but Ben is irritated at my exaggerated joy. "Woohoo!" I scream. "Sophia?" He calls me, softly. "Yes Ben?" I reply. "We don't shout or scream here. Can you adjust that?" He says. "Okay, I will!" I retort, widening my smiles. We get down from the car as soon as we reach the hostel. It's so beautiful. A large spacious hostel. Just like an hotel. We drive into the parking lot after making a move to stop on the way. He helps me with my luggage as soon as we alight, and when he sees I'm tired already, he picks up his phone and dials a number. I don't know why he doesn't want to help me pack this luggage this time but well, probably, he doesn't want to enter into my room. Girl's room. But I have not clocked "eighteen." A guy soon comes running, and he bends his head to me as he reaches our car's parking lot. I bend my head too, shocked by why he did and not knowing what to do. He helps me with all the luggage, and we soon enter the room. Ben waves to me and promises to visit me often. "This is your room. Well, you won't live here alone, your room mates are in the school premises. They will join you as soon as they are done." He says, as he helps me arrange the luggage in the right positions. "Alright, thank you very much." I answer, and sit on the tiles. "Aren't you with a bed?" He says, shocked to see me sit on the tiles. "No, I think I forgot." I reply, and he gulps, thinking of what to do next. "Should I come for you tomorrow morning?" "Come for me? I don't know you. No thank you." I object. "I didn't ask you to come over. Okay Okay, I'll come this evening when all your mates are back." He replies, stressing "All." "Are they that many?" I retort. "No, not so many. They are four." "What?! Four?" I shriek, frowning my face. The room is spacious enough to accommodate seven people conveniently but I don't like to live with people - even if I must do, it must not exceed one. "Dammit!" I remark, and he stands there, shrugging. "You won't feel bored." He chuckles, and I hide my sad face. "Okay, thank you. You can go." I say, almost clapping my palms. "Okay." He replies, and moves near me. "I am Max, nice meeting you." He stretches his hand towards me, and I return it. He smiles and waits for my name. "I am Sophia, nice meeting you too." He chuckles. "And thank you for helping me with my luggage!" "You are welcome, Sophia." He replies with an infectious smile. Vulnerable me smiles alongside. "Aren't you supposed to be in school?" I jerk him up. "Oh well, that's a good question. I'm done with school, aiming for college now." "Oh!" I wonder. Well, I only have a year to spend here too. "What about you?" He asks, and sits near me. His perfume and cologne fills my head, and I am literally sniffing the air between us. "I feel a bit uncomfortable having you by my side. If you won't get annoyed, can you please sit there?" I tell him, and he laughs not in a maniacal way but almost. "Okay, Sophie!" He stands up, and sits opposite me. "Thank you, Max." I reply, and he blushes. "What's wrong with him?" I mutter. "Nothing is actually wrong with me." He says, and I almost object what I said. "Erm... okay." "So Sophia, how long are you going to be here?" He asks. "Just a year." I reply. "That's great. How old..." He coughs "...are you?" "I don't think I can give you a reply for that. It's too personal." "But you told me how long you're gonna spend here." He retorts, and I think of a nice comeback. Yes, I got it. I fire it at him. "I can reply whoever asks that." "Okay Sophia. If you need any help, reach out to me, okay?" He says, as he makes to exit through the door. "Okay, thank you." I say but my mind says: "But how?" I sigh after he leaves, and roll my eyes at the nook and crannies of the room. I reach out for my falling bag of onions, and I pull it up again but a garlic drops on the tiles. I pick it up and stare at it. Garlics, for what in particular?" I stare at the bag to confirm if I own it. I see others' loads locked into the portable boxes. I do the same, and walk up to one of the best beds. I sleep on it, and doze off.
