Ava's POV
I was surprised when I saw Liam's home. Considering the fact that he was a librarian, I'd been expecting a small apartment on the other side of town, where the wealthy would never want to spend a second.
However, he had a pretty big apartment.
"Liam," I stammered, "not to be rude or anything, but how do you have such a big house?" I asked.
Liam chuckled as he dropped my bags—he had insisted on carrying them—to the floor.
"Oh, Ava, you're so cute," came his reply, making butterflies erupt in my stomach as my face turned a bright shade of red.
Why was I blushing when he didn't mean it that way? And why did I wish for him to say it again?
A faint smile played on his plump lips, making his face brighter and his dimples so beautiful.
"My uncle used to live here, but since he got arrested, I moved in."
I wanted to ask why his uncle had gotten arrested, but I knew we weren't close enough for me to ask something so personal.
"Want me to show you around?" he asked, his beautiful lips still set in that fine smile.
With a small smile of my own, I nodded my head, unsure of what my big mouth would say if I had to use it.
We began the tour as he showed me the bathroom, kitchen, small office, and the living room.
"Here we are," he suddenly said, opening a door. Looking in, I saw a beautiful red-and-white-themed bedroom. It had a small bathroom, a closet, and a balcony, which provided a very beautiful view of the garden outside. The sight was mesmerizing, and I knew that I'd spend most of my time in the garden.
Turning around to face him, I gushed, "Wow, Liam, my room is so beautiful. I love it."
He smiled at my excited look.
"I'm glad you like our room," he said, making me halt in my steps as my face lost its smile.
"What do you mean 'our' room?"
"Ava, I'm sorry, but we only have one room here. My uncle used to live alone, so he didn't see the need for two bedrooms," he explained, eyes locked onto mine.
"Oh," I muttered. "But you know we can't sleep in one room. I know we're married, but seeing the circumstances surrounding it, I think it's best if we sleep in separate places," I responded, my tone turning into a whisper by the end.
Liam's shoulders slumped as he nodded. "You're right. I'll sleep on the couch in the living room. You can have the bed," he said, turning to leave.
"No way, I'm sleeping on the couch. You have the bed. By the way, the couch will be more comfortable than the strong, cement-like bed we had in the dormitory."
Liam raised an eyebrow as he moved closer to me. "Ava, what type of man do you think I am?" he asked, leaning in closer to me.
His close proximity roused the butterflies once again, making me step back. However, he kept stepping forward, and as I attempted to take one more step back, I leaned on the bathroom door, which just happened to be unlocked.
My nerves threatened to explode as I found myself falling backward. Reaching my hands forward for support, I caught on to the one thing in front of me—which happened to be Liam.
It all happened in a matter of seconds. One second I was falling; the next, I felt something hard on me and soft hands brushing against the skin on my waist.
My face flushed as I realized that I had pulled Liam along, and he was lying on me, our lips only a few inches apart.
"Are you okay, Ava?" he asked, struggling to get up and off me, but I held his strong biceps.
I couldn't let him leave, not when his plump lips looked so attractive and kissable.
So kiss I did.
Running my hands through his hair, I landed my lips on his, feeling the sparks rush through me as my heart rate spiked.
He froze for a few seconds before his lips curled into a smile against mine. He pulled away, but I pulled him back, not wanting the moment to end.
"Impatient, are we, dear wife? Well, why don't I satisfy your every desire right now?" he said, pushing himself off me and lifting me up like I weighed nothing.
He strode over to the bed and gently laid me in it, then stood up to his full height as he ordered, "Take off your clothes, now."
His deep, manly voice had me shutting my legs as I felt the heat rush up to my core. Feeling a bit bolder, I breathed out, "Why don't you take off that shirt first, darling husband?"
Liam's eyes widened, the surprise evident on his face as he clearly didn't expect my response.
"Well then, baby, come and get it off me."
I didn't need to be told twice as I leaped off the bed, flinging myself into his arms. He caught me, resting his hands below my butt.
Holding his shirt with all my strength, I tore through the material, letting the buttons fly off as I took in the manliness before me.
My hands had a mind of their own as they immediately ran across his huge, hard chest, down to his abs, and all over his abdomen.
The guy was so damn attractive. Natalia was definitely crazy to let him go.
"I know you love my body, baby, but don't you want to see all of it?" he asked, staring at me intently, his eyes dropping downwards.
I immediately got off him and to my knees as my hands found his belt, quickly taking it off. Then, with a deep breath, I held his trousers and boxers, seeing a visible bulge already present.
I looked up into his eyes, gulping as he smirked and said, "Wake up, Ava."
What?
Frowning, I asked, "What do you mean? Why should I wake up?"
"Ava, I want to park the car. Get up," I heard as I suddenly saw Liam getting smaller and smaller until he eventually disappeared, leaving me staring into the darkness.
"Ava, we're home. Get up," a voice said as hands gently shook my shoulders.
Opening my eyes, I met Liam's bright eyes staring down at me as he stood at the car door.
Uncle Bertram stood to the side, watching me, a weird look on his face.
"Ava, did you sleep last night? You basically fell asleep immediately after we left the house."
Finally registering my surroundings, I looked into Liam's eyes again, my eyes widening as I gulped, the realization settling in.
I just had a wet dream.
About my sister's ex.
Oh my goodness. I just had a wet dream about my husband.
Well, s**t.
