“Are you ready?” Yas asked from where he sat sprawled across one of the benches in the changing room that Eve had been assigned to share with Alina to enable to the fast changes between acts. Eve and Yas’s performances were the last of the solo exhibitions and Alina had gone to warm up for her own so Eve had thought it would be safe for Yas to join her.
