Yohan feels like she just ran for her life, so fast that she forgot that she could be anywhere she liked with just one snap of her fingers. But she couldn't think straight, especially if she's worried about Chloe.
When they arrived at Chloe's house, Nathalie greeted them at the porch. Not even wondering why Nathalie was there in the middle of the night.
"Where is she?" Yohan asked.
"Who?" Nathalie asked.
"Chloe."
"She's sleeping in her room." Ivy said from the top of the stairs and looked down at them. Yohan's eyebrows furrowed and looked over her shoulder.
"What the hell?" She gaped at Jess.
"What? Charlene called me and said that Chloe is missing."
"She did that?" Nathalie asked and laughed. "She's probably drunk and just wanted to help her friend."
"I'm going to her room." Yohan said and she ran upstairs.
"Help Chloe? In what way?" Agma scoffed. It seems that she's just starting to enjoy the night and a drunk person ruined it for her.
"Maybe she just wants to know if Yohan doesn't really care about Chloe." Jess shrugged her shoulders as she sat on the sofa.
"And we all know now that she really cared." Agma huffed and went straight to the mini bar.
"We do but Yohan didn't know herself." Nathalie chimes in and she sat next to Jess.
"And what will Charlene get for proving something? Except for ruining our night." Agma said.
"She didn't ruin anything, why are you so worked up?" Jess asked a bit irritatedly but still tried to hide it.
"You do know that falling in love with mortals can put Yohan in danger, right?"
"Of course, she's the Devil and falling in love is prohibited!"
"Then calling you and telling such lies to make Yohan run to Chloe is unnecessary." Agma shrugged her shoulders and swigged on the bottle in her hand. "Where is that girl anyway?"
"I'm here." Charlene suddenly stepped out from the kitchen. Then everyone snapped their heads at her with wide eyes. "So all this time, Ivy was right. You guys ain't normal." She scoffed, didn't even show any fear even if she found out that she's facing not ordinary people.
"Charlene." Jess mumbled.
"So tell me, what are you?" Charlene turned to Jess, anger visible in her eyes.
"What do you mean by that question?" Agma scoffed and took another swig on her bottle of whiskey then looked up to Charlene. "Do you want Jess to answer you and tell you that she's a monster just because she said that Yohan is a devil?"
"Isn't she?" Charlene said.
"Sorry to burst your expectations but when Jess said that Yohan is a devil, it's because she really is but not literally."
Charlene looked up to where Ivy is with her questioning eyes, but the latter just shrugged her shoulders. Then Charlene's gaze shifted back to Agma and Jess.
"Then why is it prohibited for Yohan to fall in love with Chloe?" She asked.
"Because it's in our company's rules." Agma replied, air quoting the last two words. "Don't you ever wonder why Ivy and Nathalie didn't take Jess's words like how you took it?" Agma chuckled dryly and she leaned back on the sofa. "You're crazy."
"She's right— I mean, not the you're crazy part, but Yohan is not a devil, she's a human like us but has a devilish attitude." Ivy said as she descended from the stairs and stood next to Charlene. "Come on, we all know that you wanted to know how Yohan would react about Chloe—."
"You said that Yohan is a devil, that's why I had to pretend that Joy and I had a relationship!" Charlene said to cut off Ivy.
"I know I'm wrong for telling you that and I'm sorry." Ivy said halfheartedly, earning a ludicrous response from Jess. But she suddenly realized now why Yohan had to make Ivy as one of them.
"I can't believe that you really hate me." Jess said sarcastically and rolled her eyes.
"Sorry okay? I just thought that you're going to hurt my friend!" Ivy scoffed.
"Now that you know the reason why Ivy tells you lies, it doesn't mean that you and Jess still got the chance. Like I said, it's our company's rule that they are not allowed to have a relationship with anyone." Agma said, eyes bore at Jess.
"That's ridiculous rules." Charlene scoffed.
"I know right?" Jess said, stealing a quick glance at Agma then back to Charlene. "Why do they have to prevent us from having a relationship with anyone in general, it's not like we will leave the company if that happens." She said,
"I'm not ready to hear this conversation without Yohan." Nathalie laughed and she walked to the mini bar to serve herself another drink. "Let's just drink and wait for Yohan and Chloe." She added.

They were completely unaware that Yohan was listening to them. She entered Chloe's room but left the door not completely closed and she stood behind it. She listened and heard everything.
When no one spoke again, she decided to look at Chloe, who's sleeping peacefully in her bed, under the thick blanket, with soft snores, pink cheeks and puffy eyes.
Yohan walked towards the bed but stopped three feet away from it when she suddenly remembers the guy appeared from the dark but disappeared again in just split seconds.
"Who the hell is he?" Yohan mumbled under her breath. She shook her head to rid off the guy in her mind before she continued her way to the bed and sat on the side. She tucked away some of Chloe's hair that's covering her face. "I thought that my father would take you." She whispered.
Chloe shuffled on her side and now facing Yohan, then her hand searched for something on the bed and found Yohan's hand. She held it tight and hugged it on her chest. Yohan smiled unknowingly while staring at the woman's face, with a small crease in her forehead.
"Why do you have to be so cute but yet beautiful at the same time?" Yohan whispered again.
"Thanks but still thank you though." Chloe replied with her eyes still closed and Yohan flinched and tried to take back her hand but Chloe prevented her from doing so. Then her eyes slowly opened and met a pair of hazelnut brown orbs, looking at her bewildered.
"You're awake?" Yohan asked.
"You wake me up."
"How? I was just whispering."
"Your scent woke me up." Chloe said and smiled bitterly before she looked at Yohan's hand. She moved and lifted Yohan's hand and she intertwined their fingers together then she smiled, still with bitterness on it. "I have never imagined that I will fall in love with you, Yohan."
"Why?"
"You killed Lev but here I am, falling in love with the murderer."
"I did not kill him."
"Yes you did, no one admits to their crime and I always believed that it was you." Chloe said and she looked up again to Yohan's eyes. "You killed Lev and you killed the guy on the set."
Yohan chuckled dryly because she finds it ridiculous because Chloe is telling her that she's a murderer but also confessing her feelings at the same time. Yohan was convinced that it's the alcohol talking and not Chloe.
"You're drunk. You should go to sleep." Yohan said and she took back her hand in subtlety.
"I'm not drunk, I'm just tipsy." Chloe chuckled. "What are you doing here anyway? Didn't I tell you that you are not allowed to get near me?"
"Well, being tipsy can make everyone confess their feelings. I want to get tipsy too." Yohan laughed. Chloe was too stunned to speak nor react because of Yohan's laughter. She couldn't remember when was the last time she heard Yohan laugh. Is there any chance that Yohan did that around her? Or with anyone? She doesn't know, but one thing is for sure.
Yohan's laugh is her new favourite music.
"Yohan." Chloe called, which made Yohan stop laughing, then the latter looked down to her with confused eyes. "I should go back to sleep."
"Uh right, you should." Yohan agreed and she was about to stand up but Chloe held her hand once again. "What?" She asked.
"Can you do me a favour?" Chloe asked.
"What?" Yohan asked again.
"Forget everything I have said earlier and pretend that you didn't come into my room." Chloe said while staring at Yohan's eyes. As if she's looking for something in it, but when she didn't find what she was looking for, she smiled sadly. "From now on, I will forget my feelings towards you."
Yohan didn't respond to it, but she smiled in return. The kind of smile with disappointment, then she nodded her head and took back her hand from Chloe's grip.
"Don't worry. Whatever happened tonight, never existed." Yohan said as she stood up and turned her heels. She takes a deep breath and refrains herself from looking back or else she might finally let herself repeat what happened to Nicole, Nathalie's sister.
"Thank you." Chloe whispered just before Yohan could finally step out from her room. When Yohan shut the door, she let her tears fall once again and smiled sadly before reaching for her phone and dialed her mom's number. "Hello mom? Tell them that I already agree to the marriage."
