“Should madam care for a bath?” the girl asked.
Gretel thought that would be delightful after such a long journey. It took Madeline a few minutes to organise hot water to be brought from the kitchen. She recruited two young boys, still in their teens, who eyed Gretel shyly but could not keep their eyes from what her low-cut dress exposed. When the bath was ready and the boys had departed Madeleine undressed her. Gretel blushed slightly when Madeline removed her shift and she was naked. Hurriedly she got into the bath and sat down, raising her hands to cover her breasts.
“Shall I wash you, madam?” Madeleine said.
