"Get in the car."
Celine was just on her way home when Renan's car stopped next to her and he ordered her with a deep voice.
"Heh, my legs may be valuable but the price of my life is even more so. It's far too dangerous to go with you, Director Montenegro," Celine replied coolly as she continued on her way. She would rather walk until her legs broke before begging him for a ride.
After hearing her reply, Renan just scoffed as his car went off immediately.
Celine's mouth twitched. 'Director Montenegro, do you have nothing better to do than to play with me?'
Celine kept moving forward. The subdivision was very large and it took her almost an hour before she arrived at the gate. She consoled herself and considered it a means of losing weight. But she couldn't help but massage her aching calves.
Celine stood at the intersection, tired and feeling aggrieved. Why did they have to sent her to the Montenegro's Villa when they could just talk in one of the restaurants in the city. Have they forgotten how far their place is?
Celine put her hand out to call for a ride but when the taxi stopped in front of her, she suddenly recalled that she left her purse and mobile phone with her roommate. Celine smiled awkwardly and closed the car door as the driver chided her.
"Oh my god," Celine cried out. Indeed, the heavens were trying to kill her. How is she going back now?
"Get in." Renan's voice rang out once again. It had a rather cooling effect in the midst of the intense summer heat.
Celine continued to look up at the sky. After a short while, she lowered her head and turned toward Renan. "Director Montenegro, my apologies. My mother said that I mustn't speak to strangers. I'm still a child so I still listen to my mother's advice." Celine indulgently yet aggressively rejected his help even as the passing car was about to leave.
Renan's annoyance increased. This woman kept provoking his patience so Renan quickly went down his car and grabbed her throwing her in the passenger seat.
"Hey, I'm being kidnapped!" Celine cried out.
"Shut up," Renan chastised coldly as he walked toward the driver's seat, opened the door and got in.
After being yelled at, Celine curled her lips and shut up immediately. She then leaned against the car door, intending to close her eyes and take a nap.
"The child is mine. I'll bring it home." Renan suddenly spoke up.
"Heh, you're overthinking things, that child has nothing to do with you," She kept her eyes closed while she replied.
"Celine, I'm not asking for your opinion."
"What a coincidence, I'm not discussing it with you either." Celine smirk.
"Woman, don't test my patience."
"That child really is from an extramarital affair. You know those sort of genes exists inside me." Celine chuckled.
"I'll help you to take everything back from the Garcia family," Renan suddenly said, shocking Celine.
She was shaken at first but she soon recovered herself. She straightened up to look at him. "The matters in the Garcia family have nothing to do with me."
Everything in the that family had never matter to her anymore, the moment she left the Garcia family. The only person who had anything to do with her also made an announcement in the newspapers saying that they would never raise the vile spawn of another.
"Why are you so concerned about that child? Even if you've already come out of the closet, it's not like you can't do that with a woman. Women who want to have your child are lined up all the way to America."
"That's my child," Renan replied in a straightforward manner.
"That child has nothing to do with you. Don't you understand human language?" Celine was thoroughly enraged this time.
"Celine, I'll give you two choices. One, bring the child back. Two, come home with the child."
"Pfft!" Celine laughed out loud. She really wanted to ask this bastard if he could understand human language. Can he understand what I wanted to say?
No, that was not the point. The point was why should she go back?
"Are you trying to say that you've suddenly fallen for me, Director Montenegro? Is that why you're finding an excuse to make me go back?" Celine chuckled but her laughter lacked any sign of joy.
Renan leaned his head to the side and sent her a bone-chilling look. However, she completely ignored his glare.
Renan dropped her off at the university's gate. Celine got down from the car and looked at him, still feeling like there was something she wanted to tell him.
"Ah, that... Director Montenegro, there are pitfalls on the road to marriage. You better be careful."
However, the car sped off in reply to her.
Shui Anluo raised her hand to scratch her head. 'Director Montenegro is very strange today. Especially that car of his, he's driving it at such speed.'
.....
After Renan Montenegro appeared that day, he never showed up again. This caused Celine to feel as though she had dreamed that day so she kept asking questions.
"Sigh, why did we had ate at that restaurant that day?"
Annie rolled her eyes at her. Clearly, she did not wish to answer that question again.
It was the last day of exams and Celine's mood was better than ever. Once she was done, she could go home and see her baby. She had been chased out by her mother for almost half a month now. So she could focus at her studies. She missed them too much!
The exams have finally ended and Celine instinctively felt that she had not done too badly in her papers. Since she missed her baby, she invited Annie to her house for a meal instead of meeting up outside.
"You're in for a treat today. My mother went out to buy a lot of ingredients early in the morning." Celine hugged Annie as she announced it to her. Anyone who had ever tried her mother's cooking would become immediately addicted.
The pair chatted happily as they looked out of the university, their gaze attracted to an area where many girls were staring at as well.
"What, is there something interesting happening there?" Annie could not help but tiptoe toward that direction.
Celine certainly did not care. After meeting Renan, she felt as if all the handsome men in this world were not all that handsome in her eyes. Renan was so handsome that sometimes it felt so suffocating.
A man dressed in a white suit leaning against a silver sports car indolently as the sunlight reflected upon his body in a dazzling manner.
"Celine Garcia."
