Kinlee came over early the next morning. She arrived at the same time as Sorrel. Val was a little on guard, I don’t think he really wanted to like Clover’s brother. Maybe it was out of some sort of loyalty to Clover, but he wasn’t helping with his attitude.
We went to the area behind the building. Kinlee and I would be sticking close so we could guard them more quickly than the wolves at the perimeter. Clover had a training pattern set up, first plant magic, then water magic, finishing with fire magic. Sorrel agreed with her decision.
He sat on the bench in the little backyard area with Jen. She was sipping on some coffee and leaning back. It was a little windy. I worried about the fire getting away from Val.
A big gust flowed through the area. Jen looked annoyed and waved her hand.
