Clover sat in my lap while I texted the guards that Josh and Kinlee were expected. She seemed a lot happier. I was glad to see her with a smile.
“Will you go get the brush and a tie for my hair?” I asked her.
“Are you sure you want me to do it where anyone can see?”
“This is one of the ways all sorts of mates take care of each other. For all they know, I make you do it because I like how it feels when my mate takes care of my hair.” I told her and kissed her gently.
Clover grinned and got out of my lap, hurrying to the bedroom. I moved my hair behind the back of the dining chair. She returned and started gathering and brushing my hair out. Like always, she was careful and gentle. She hummed a little while she worked.
