Chapter 9

332 Words
When I wear it, I always feel safe and secure when I wear it so I grab it and shut the blinds to the balcony and change into a fresh change of clothes and then slip the necklace on so it's under the long sleeve sweatshirt I have on and then go back in my bag to find some spare charcoal I keep and my sketchbook. I lock the door to the main room I'm and barricade it with the hospital bed just in case they come back for me. I walk out on to the balcony and sit and start sketching and it's not long that I remember an image that I saw when I met Terri in the playground and I keep thinking I know that symbol from somewhere but as soon as I try to remember where it came from I hear the door attempting to be open and then a huge knocking sound came through the door. " LEAH ITS BLAKE FOR GOD's SAKE PLEASE OPEN THE DOOR OR IM KICKING THE DOOR IN" I refuse to comment or make a sound and then I heard the crash of the door being kicked in and then I run to the balcony door and lock it so he can't get to me. I rush to the end of the balcony while I hear Blake scream for me I’m not going to jump so why does he think I want to? I stare out into the distance wondering when this will all end. I keep staring out at the distance and feel a gigantic force pulling me back into the room. I feel myself being in a hug with his tears crying onto my shoulders. We stay there in silence, it feels like forever before he speaks to me. His voice is a hoarse whisper as he speaks. “You can’t leave me not now that I found you, what were you thinking?”. I get up angrily out of his grip.
