Reene I hugged myself, my legs crossed over each other, as I sat on my bed. It was already nighttime, but I had no intention of going downstairs. "You good?" I heard someone ask behind me, making me jump. I hadn't heard the door open. "Hey," I whispered, ignoring the scent of lavender which filled my nostrils at his entrance. Sweet Kaden's scent. "Hey, yourself. You disappeared after the meeting. Are you fine?" My heart skipped a beat at his words. 'He cared.' "Yeah, just tired, I guess." I shrugged, and clasped my hands together.
