"And that was all?" I couldn't make sense of anything. Everyone I had asked about Amber's disappearance kept saying there had been no cause for alarm whatsoever.
And that was odd. Amber wasn't submissive at all. Well, she had been, but she had changed over the past few months.
So, it didn't make any sense at all that she would follow any random person without raising any alarm.
