I had a pretty restless night sleep that night and I had to get up several times to check the perimeter around the area like I had been doing ever since I arrived in town.
And when I woke up at 6am in the morning I went to the kitchen to get a coffee and I sat at the table looking into the living room and out the front window.
“Morning.” Tyler said, walking downstairs.
“Morning.” I said.
“How did you sleep?” He asked, walking over to the coffee pot.
“Just fine. The same as usual.”
“Really? Why did you get up four times during the night?”
“I had to check the perimeter of the town.”
“Do you do that every night?” He asked, sitting at the table.
“Yeah. I have to. You saw how easy it was for that witch to sneak up on us yesterday.”
