If this man is the first thing I see every morning, there would never be a bad day in my life. Well, as long as he remains quiet. Because once he opens his arrogant mouth, one wants to run away.
"Naughty little geek, you're looking good today! What's the occasion?" He says, his steely eyes openly checking me out.
"My name is Sarah Williams." I correct.
"You know these people?!" The nasty actress asks.
"Leave us!" He orders instead of answering her.
"What!"
"You heard me!" He snaps. The woman angrily storms away.
Is she really his mistress? Or is she just another girl with a crush on him.
There is a huge grin on our receptionist's face. Looks like there is bad blood between him and the lady.
"Come on in, Miss Williams." He says, holding the door open for me.
Why would I need to get into his office to have my phone? "No need for that, sir. Just give me back my phone and I will be on my way out."
"What's the matter with you! Let's go in." Hilda pinches my arm.
Oh! I had forgotten she was here with a different objective. Maybe I should introduce the two.
I walk past the tall beauty and into the most dandified office I have ever seen. It is the kind of room that one only sees on magazines. Hilda joins me inside, gapes at the striking elegance of the room.
Everything is silver coloured, including the cup of coffee on the desk.
"Can't believe I am finally in here!" Hilda whispers. "I have tons of photos of him in his offices, I'll ask him to take a selfie with me close to his desk."
I doubt he would agree to that.
"Leo, tell Jennifer to get me two cups of coffee! After that feel free to take the rest of the day off." He says to the receptionist.
"Thank you sir!"
Did he just order coffee for us? Maybe he does the same for all his visitors. Nothing to feel special about.
The door closes and I realise it's just us and Mr. Arrogance in the room. Again, his gaze lands on me.
"You didn't answer my question, what's the occasion?"
"Occasion? I huh...I was coming to this part of town for the first time...I wanted to look presentable." I answer.
His face lights up. "Really? You didn't put that on for someone?"
I knew he would think we dressed up for him! Why isn't he asking Hilda these questions? She is the one with all the make-up!
"I said I wanted to look presentable." I insist.
"Yeah, but to who?" He moves slowly forward until he is standing right in front of me. "Do you have a boyfriend?" I step back. His voice is kind of threatening, like he is pissed.
"No. What do you care if I have a boyfriend? Just give me back my phone and I will leave."
I did want to have a taste of the coffee he ordered. I forgot to take my breakfast and my stomach is already rumbling. But a cup of coffee is not worth answering his probing questions.
He takes another step forward, completely closing the space between us. I try to step back again but find myself blocked by his desk.
"If you want your phone, then you'll answer my questions!" He mutters, his voice slow and authoritative.
"Excuse me!" I exclaim not sure I heard him right.
"I am sure you heard me. You get your phone when you answer all my questions! Is that clear, Sarah?" I gape up at him, there is no smile on his face to indicate that he is kidding. My body stiffens.
He is so close that I am breathing in his scent.
"You're making my friend nervous. I can answer your questions, just let Sarah have her phone so she can go back home." I hear Hilda say.
Oh yes! Please let her handle his madness while I escape.
I start to move aside, his hand wraps around my arm and pushes me even farther against his desk.
I try to pull away but his grip is powerful. I head up knocking down the coffee on his desk.
"f**k!" I hear Hilda gasp as the liquid floods the desk, sipping into the few files onit and floating around the other office stuff, including his laptop.
"What did you do?!" Hilda screams. I am dumbfounded by the mess I have created that I can't utter a word. Can I afford to pay for what I have damaged? But it was his fault, he was manhandling me!
"Now we have a lot more to talk about;" He mutters with a smirk.
If anything important has been ruined, he wouldn't be smiling.
"She can't afford to pay for those!" Hilda defends me in the silliest way possible. He pushed me against his desk, what did he expect? No one is paying for anything!
"I think she can. Would you excuse us for a minute?" He says to Hilda and my body instinctively stiffens.
Why would he need Hilda to leave? My hand is still in his tight grasp. My blood is hardly finding it's way through.
"What do you want her to do?" Hilda demands. She is so sassy today!
He starts to draw me closer, his other arm taking hold of my free arm.
"How about you link the coffee off my desk!" He teases and my eyes go wide. "Don't you want your phone back?"
"What! You're crazy!" I shriek. "Do that yourself!"
Link coffee off the desk? Like a dog?! Where did this man learn his manners?
"I am not the one who made the mess, but if you don't want to clean it, I have other ways of punishing you! Would you rather walk on your hands and knees?" He says to my ear but his voice is high enough for Hilda to have heard. I attempt jerking my arms free, his grip tightens farther.
"I think she can do that!" My heart almost stops when I hear Hilda say the words. She got a grin on her lips as she watches me struggle against the man's grasp.
