As I stormed out of the storage room, I felt a surge of frustration running through me. I couldn't shake the feeling that she had gone to that bastard, whoever he was. My mind was racing, my blood boiling with anger and something else, something that felt like jealousy. I needed to see her to confirm where she had gone. I headed straight for the auditorium, moving quickly through the halls.
My eyes were sharp, scanning every face, every corner. When I finally reached the auditorium, it was almost empty. Just a few students were still lingering around, chatting quietly. I cursed under my breath. Where did she go?. I knew I wouldn't find peace until I had her in my sight again.
"Xavier! Where were you?" I turned to see Liam approaching, concern etched across his face.
"We literally searched for you everywhere." "Thank god your vampire side is in control now," Sebastian added with a smirk, joining us.
“I'm fine," I muttered, dismissing their concerns.
"Come on, we're going home now." Liam frowned, clearly disappointed.
“Wait, what? Why? Let's go have a drink or something. Blow off some steam."
“No!" I snapped, my patience wearing thin. "I need to discuss something with you two. It's about my mate."
“Your mate?" Liam raised an eyebrow, curiosity piqued.
“What about her?"
“We can't talk here," I said sharply.
“Let's go." I turned and walked out of the auditorium, not waiting to see if they were following.
Liam and Sebastian exchanged a quick glance before trailing behind me. We made our way through the darkened campus and headed into the forest, moving swiftly and silently. Once we were deep enough into the woods, I stopped and turned to them.
"We'll use the teleportation spell," I instructed.
They nodded, understanding the urgency in my voice. Together, we cast the spell, our voices blending as we chanted the ancient words.
A moment later, a gust of wind swirled around us, and the forest faded away, replaced by the grand and imposing Van Zandt Estate.
The familiar sight of the castle brought a sense of calm, but I knew I had no time to relax. We walked through the massive iron gates and into the castle, moving quickly through the long, dimly lit corridors until we reached my room. As soon as we entered, I turned to the slaves who were stationed outside.
"Make sure no one disturbs us," I commanded, my tone leaving no room for argument. They bowed their heads in response, murmuring,
“Yes, Master Xavier." Once inside, I shut the door firmly behind us. The heavy curtains were drawn, casting the room in shadows, except for the faint glow from the fireplace.
I pulled out a cigarette, lighting it with a flick of my fingers, and took a deep drag, feeling the smoke fill my lungs. Liam plopped down on one of the chairs, looking curious.
“So, dude, what do you want to talk about?" I exhaled slowly, watching the smoke curl in the air. "I want to get close to my mate," I began, my voice calm but determined.
“I want her around me 24/7." Sebastian leaned against the wall, crossing his arms.
“And how are you planning to do that?" he asked, a hint of scepticism in his tone. "We have to find a way," I said, taking another drag from my cigarette. Liam rolled his eyes.
“Stop it, Xavier. How do you expect to be with her all the time? We can't even be out in the daylight," he reminded me, his tone practical. I smirked, enjoying the challenge.
“We can enrol ourselves in her classes," I suggested, letting the idea sink in. Sebastian's eyes widened in disbelief.
"Are you out of your mind? Do you mean we're going to study with humans now?" he scoffed. I chuckled darkly.
“Who said anything about studying? I just need to be near her, to find moments alone with her. I need to make sure she does exactly what I tell her to." Liam seemed intrigued.
“And how do you plan to do that?" "First, we need to figure out her timetable," I explained, my mind already racing with ideas.
“We'll join the classes where she doesn't have any friends, where she's vulnerable. It'll be easier if she has no one to rely on." Sebastian let out a low whistle.
“Dude, you're a f*****g prince. Just go and claim her already. What's the point of all this sneaking around? Why are you acting like some human in love?"
I narrowed my eyes at him, a smirk tugging at my lips.
“No, not yet. She thinks this is a game, and I plan to end it my way. When I claim her, it will be on my terms, and she will be mine completely. It's going to be interesting," I said, feeling a thrill at the thought. Liam still looked worried.
“What if your father finds out about this?" I shrugged, not bothered by the possibility.
“He won't find out. And even if he does, there's nothing he can do. Sebastian, you'll compel the principal to allow us into her classes. Liam, you'll find out her timetable. Once we have that, we'll act accordingly," I instructed, my tone firm. Liam nodded, but I could see the doubt in his eyes.
"Alright, Xavier, but this is risky. You're playing with fire." I grinned, feeling excitement bubbling inside me.
"I've never been afraid of a little fire," I replied, flicking ash from my cigarette onto the floor.
"Besides, I have everything under control." Sebastian clapped his hands together, clearly entertained.
“This is going to be fun," he said with a wicked grin.
“I can't wait to see how this plays out."
"Neither can I," I muttered, feeling a rush of adrenaline.
I was going to get what I wanted, no matter what it took. Evelyn would be mine, and soon, everyone would know it.
