Adam's pov
A month has passed since I met my flower and since she started working for me. My life has changed 360 degrees. She has changed me and everyone sees it except for her. She has a desk in my office and she works as my personal finance manager.
She's always so cheerful and I try to keep her away from other male employees because I don't want them to flirt or even look at her. My flower is all mine. Just one look at her and my day becomes better. Its become so difficult for me to stay without seeing her. I often take her out on Sunday for lunch and sometimes Dylan accompanies us too. Dylan was shocked to see I react around Rosella. He says I'm a lost puppy without her which is true. She's the reason why I look forward to coming to office.
Also, Dylan asked out Stella and they've been dating for a month now. Today is Sunday and I didn't need an excuse to take Rosella out because Dylan had invited her for lunch at his place. Today Dylan was going to introduce Stella to his mom. I was very happy for both of them and even happier because I would get to see my princess.
Dylan and I were seated in his lounge and I was growing really impatient to see Rosella. I stood up and paced back and forth.
"Chill out. She's going to be here soon." Dylan spoke.
"Hi Dylan, hi Adam." I heard her angelic voice and I felt like I'm being brought back to life.
"Hi Rose. Adam was getting so grumpy," he paused and ran towards Stella who was next to Rosella and hugged her. "Baby girl you look gorgeous."
But I had all eyes for Rosella. She looked so beautiful in a sleeveless sky-blue knee-length dress. I love her hair when it's open. We all stood in the lounge when suddenly we hear a purring voice. Rosella looked down and there was cat just near her feet. She jumped slightly and screamed and I pulled her into a protective embrace.
Shit, she's scared of cats. Dylan and Stella began to laugh and Rosella felt conscious so she ran to the the rest room.
I glared at them and they immediately shut up. "Don't ever laugh at her again. Take this cat away and I am going to bring her back. Both of you will apologise for your behaviour."
I reached the rest room and it was locked. If these two made my flower cry then they would see the worst side of me. Thankfully, I didn't hear any sounds of her sulking.
"Rosella, you can come out now." I spoke as softly as I can.
She slightly opened the door and asked me, "Is it gone?"
"Yes, the cat is gone. Let's go."
She came out and we walked to the dining area.
"Sorry for laughing Rosie," Stella stated.
"Yeah, we didn't know you're scared of cats. Actually his name is Casper, my mom has him since 5 years now. I don't understand why you are scared of cats, I mean they are so-" Dylan kept blabbering but one look at him and he shut up.
Rosella stood there with her head hung low. It angered me and I tried to divert the topic.
"Let's have lunch. Have you called Diana?" I questioned Dylan.
"I am here my lovelies. Oh, what a pretty lady, you must be Stella, Dylan talks a lot about you." Diana, Dylan's mom mistook Rosella as Stella.
Rosella looked so confused and Stella was highly offended. Dylan quickly pulled Stella's arm and brought her forward.
"Mom, this is Stella." He clarified.
I possessively held Rosella.
"She's mine but not officially, yet." I thought to myself and smiled inwardly.
"My sincere apologies darling. Dylan told me that you have blonde hair so I got confused." Diana apologised to Stella and then looked towards me.
"Adam! So nice to see you. You haven't changed a bit. Still the reserved person that you used to be. I suppose this lady is with you then, you both make a great couple." She commented.
"Um no ma'am. I'm just his friend." Rosella addressed Diana.
"Call me Diana. Ma'am makes me feel old." Diana chuckled.
We all sat at the dining table and I kept looking at Rosella. She looked like a goddess. Dylan nudged me.
"Seems like someone can't take their eyes off a girl." He teased in a whisper.
"Correction: that's my girl. I can look at her whenever I want and for how long I want." I whispered and he chuckled.
Soon, the servants served the starters- prawns, potato skins and cream and chicken soup. These are Dylan's favourites and they are often prepared at his house, also his mother's specialties.
We all began to eat when suddenly Rosella began to cough and I instantly got worried.
"Get water for her right now!" I ordered the servant. He rushed and brought the water and I made Rosella drink it.
"Oh honey, are you alright? Come let's take you to my room." Diana said.
I carried her to the room as fast as I could. Rosella's coughing wouldn't stop and her face was becoming pale.
"I thi-nk the sou-p had mush-rooms an-d I ate th-em. I am all-ergic to mush-rooms." She spoke between her coughs. s**t! How could I be so careless? I should've made sure about her allergies as well. I was frustrated to the core.
"Stella, get some anti-allergy pills and Dylan, order a box of pepperoni pizza." I commanded.
As soon as Rosella took the pills, the glow slowly returned to her face and I was relieved.
"Thank you Adam, it is because of you that I feel better now," She spoke.
"Anything for you princess."
The pizza arrived too and I told everyone else to go out so Rosella and I could be alone.
I took out a slice of pizza and kept it and slowly began to feed Rosella who seemed too weak to eat by herself. The cute moment when she took out a slice and began to feed me too! I felt so contented and complete. After she ate a slice, I told her to rest and she obliged.
I kissed her forehead and then walked out of the room. I saw Diana who had a huge smile on her face and it told me that she had witnessed the entire thing.
"I didn't believe it when Dylan told me but its true. This girl has really charmed you. She's brought out a completely different side of you. Bless you my children." She spoke and then she walked away.
Her words couldn't have been truer.
