Jessica Quinn’s POV
"The headquarters in China wants you to return there as soon as possible, boss."
I slowly open my eyes, absorbing the soft light filtering through my window. It takes me a moment to remember where I am. Oh, right, I'm not in my room, so it's a different window. This is Klaus' room.
"Boss, our men need you in China." I heard Santoro's voice, the secretary of Klaus.
I stretch my arms and let out a long yawn, and I sit up in bed and glance around Klaus' room. Hinanap ng mga mata ko kung nasaan siya hanggang sa makita ko sila sa couch niya rito sa kwarto habang nakaharap sa laptop na nasa lamesa.
Mukhang si Santoro ang kausap niya sa laptop dahil kilalang-kilala ko ang boses ni Santoro. Ilang beses ko na rin siyang na-meet kaya alam kong siya ‘yon.
