The sound of voices wakes me up slowly. I wonder where I am and it takes a moment for the memories to come back. I mentally check myself, making sure my wounds are healed, whatever they shot me with, weren’t normal bullets. I could feel them drilling to my heart, the fact that my body was constantly trying to heal itself, while flying with Rachel’s extra weight, exhausted me and I honestly didn’t think I would get to Fraya in time. When I saw her, I felt relief sweep through me. I hate the fact that I couldn’t protect myself and I hope she didn’t exhaust herself trying to get me to safety.
