For once, I ignore common sense, I ignore the reality of the situation and allow myself to dream. I know the words being whispered in my ears are just that, words, not promises. I allow myself to wish for more, to imagine a world where we could truly be together and happy. By tomorrow we will both be heading home, I will go back to ruling over the wolves, and Alexander will prepare to rule over the dragons. I will ask him one more time tomorrow to accept my rejection and hopefully by then, he will see some sense in this and agree, but that is tomorrow, today, I am going to be a dreamer, I am going to pretend that I can be happy with my mate, that we can somehow build a life, a home and a family of our own.
