She shut her eyes. She hesitated to accept Cuhen's help, but she didn't want to fall into the abyss. She guessed it was over 100 feet below, not counting the creepy creatures. Ellah's hesitancy caused her to overlook the slow rupture of the small vein she was clutching. "Ahhhh!!!"
"I've got you!" A strong hand gripped her wrist as a sudden downpour of heavy rain poured down.
"A-are you going to kill me?" she asked, her voice shaking with fear. She was like a wet chick who had gone missing after being abandoned by the mother hen.
Cuhen did not respond and carried her without emotion, tears streaming down her cheeks. She was saved by the man who had intended to kill her. Why did he help her now? Why can't Cuhen let her die because that was always his intention in the first place?
Her heart shattered into a thousand pieces. Her only chance of escape was squandered. Maybe she needs to accept that this is the life that awaits her. She couldn't help but cry as the intense rain made her heartache worse.
She admits to herself that Cuhen Malcogn is a man with exceptional charisma. His s*x appeal is overflowing, and his eyes are like the eyes of the Greek god Zeus, penetrating every woman's soul. Even if he has a fiancée, many women are smitten with him. Because of his talent and efficiency in the business world, which are now thriving throughout Asia, she had hoped to meet him before. But now she feels rage, fear, and disgust instead of admiration.
She was so exhausted that she was unaware that she had dozed off in his arms while her eyes filled with tears.

CUHEN TURNED his head to look at the woman he was carrying. This woman shook his head in search. Ellah believed she might be able to run away. The only person who was familiar with the area was him. If he hadn't gone home because he forgot to bring the gun for an emergency, he would not have known that the girl ran on the right side. There were still footprints on the soft ground where some of the yard's flowering plants had been trodden. He wasted no time in following her right away. The woman hadn't gone very far, and he knew that if he couldn't find her, she would fall directly into the abyss.
They were drenched in rain, and it was dusk when they got home. Cuhen placed Ellah gently on the bamboo couch. He went to his room and quickly pulled out a clean towel, t-shirt, and boxers from his closet.
Ellah did not wake up when he began removing her wet clothes. Damn! He was f*****g mad and threw his look somewhere, but he kept his cool. When he quickly put Ellah's shirt on with caution and control, he did not claim her body in this situation as p*****t for what it had done. He then treated the scars and wounds on her foot. Luckily enough, this woman was asleep, or else she could taste his rage.
He then carried the unconscious woman to her room. Damn her for making him mad. He should punish her straight away, but he can't. The heavy downpour continued while sometimes being followed by thunder and lightning. He shrugged and turned on the lampshade before gently lowering her body onto the soft bed.
From the cabinet, he took another blanket and draped it around her. Furthermore, he walked to the window, took the blanket the girl had used to entrap him, and closed it. He did not imagine Ellah would set a peculiar trap for him and make him fall into it. He assumed the only thing she could do was cry and beg at the bedside.
That won't happen again, woman!
Cuhen walked out the door, emotionless. He just clenched his fist and drank beer in his room at that point. He needs to relax. The punishment this woman truly deserves will start tomorrow. He will make sure that her beloved father, who is hiding in a sheepskin, suffers terrible pain as he punishes her. He is dying to kill the old man, but not now. Instead, he would allow him to experience the misery that it has given him throughout his life.
A short while later, he went back to the woman's room and made sure she was still breathing. He smirked when he noticed her shaking and crying. He let out a deep sigh, disregarded the situation, and just shut the door.
Fuck!
He approaches the woman and touches her forehead while seeing her sob. He withdrew his hand from Ellah's forehead, which was scorching hot. She's trembling beneath the covers. The woman appears to be something that would break in an instant. He cursed and stood up.
His fists clenched as he made his way to his room to take some medicine. He heated water with the heater as well, then poured it into the little basin. He also took a face towel with him.
He kidnapped her here, and now he's looking after a sick person? Oh, f**k! This was not what he had in mind.
Bullshit!
He carried the medicine, a glass of water, and a basin as he entered the woman's room. He woke her up to give her medicine, but she cried with her eyes closed. He couldn't help but put a warm towel on the woman’s forehead as she was still shaky.
He also stood up and took another blanket from the cabinet, which he placed over the woman's body. What he did helped a little by keeping her from shivering.
"Hey, woman." He patted her cheek. "Take this medicine," but the woman's eyes remained closed.
Under his breath, he cursed. He thinks he'll force her to drink so he can rest. He wanted to get into bed since it was almost midnight. The rain stopped outside, and the sounds of insects could be heard.
"D-dad..."
His fist clenched. That's it! He was so absorbed in her ruckus that he startled her awake. As she gently opened her eyes, he steadied himself. Her eyes were puffy and red from crying. "Drink," he urged as he handed her the medicine and a glass of water.
Even though just a lampshade gave light, he could see the woman's fear in her eyes. His combustible temperament causes him to react quickly, which results in him having little patience. "Come on, have a drink!"
