Joy's Dream become reality

It was fast approaching the interuniversity competition the players every evening practiced hard for them to win the competition Joy quickly forwarded the names of officials to the administration every afternoon the players continued practicing basketball Angela took the opportunity to practice to the best of his ability Joy realized that Angela has improved greatly Sally Nelly and Ruth realized but they had already agreed to stop for a while to fight Angela that became a great opportunity to Joy the captain to make her advances to wards Derrick as they were playing at the court Joy rushed to the administrator to check if the official list were ready Sally took over her position to train the players she rushed to the administration climbed the stairs up to the administration room she knocked the door the admin opened the door and run into Joy.

"Are you going out I want to check on the list of the officials for the inter-university competition" Joy said.

"You don't have to worry everything is in order the names have been approved remove them from the table," Admin said.

Joy rushed in and removed the letter and rushed the admin looked at her she was on a tight games kit she admired her but everything happened faster.

"This girl is beautiful but I lack time to talk with her," He said.

Joy rushed to her hostel and sat to confirm if Derrick is on the list she realized that he is on the committee she was very happy she rushed back to the basketball court to continue with training the players had already mastered all the skills required for the team to win the competition she sat to watch how the team trained he was impressed.

"We need to have a meeting with all the officials today to kick start the plan of how I will win Derrick even if I sleep with him one day," Joy said.

"But how am I going to trap Derrick to fall for the plan?" She asked herself.

"I realized that he likes champagne I am going to stick it in my room," She said.

The basketball ball hit her on her face she fell off the seat and lay on the ground in pain players got shocked and rushed to check on her the fast aid paramedics rushed and checked on her they realized it was a minor bruise on her face they quickly did the first aid and Joy sat the players continued to practice the paramedics were done doing first aid to the joy they sat beside her to watch players on the final round, Elvis, the paramedic moved closer to Joy.

"Madam I am sorry for the accident," Elvis said.

"Don't worry this is normal we are used to this being a mild injury" Joy said.

"I see you are becoming strong every day I see you reaching the final I have seen one player known as Angela it will take the university far" Elvis reiterated.

Joy smiled and looked at Elvis.

"I agree she will give other teams sleepless nights" Joy replied.

"I see you are amongst the official who will pool the teams I wish we could meet today in the evening in my hostel I won't be able to book the conference room for a meeting my room is big enough for food will be served and also before the dinner, we will have snags," Joy said.

"That is a great idea going outside the university or using university conference rooms could leak the information about pooling we rather do it in a private room" Elvis reiterated.

"You don't worry I will be the one passing the information to the rest of the officials," Elvis said.

"That is great you are a godsend I like your attitude," Joy said.

"It is the best idea do you know why we lost last year before even reaching the semifinals the pooling list leaked and the other universities got the opportunity to tackle us," Elvis said.

"Yes, I remember we lost in the semi-final it was very discouraging I almost resigned from being a basketball captain" Joy responded.

Elvis laughed at what Joy said.

"But this time round you're going to beat ten squarely I see you have new players like Angela Ruth Sally and Nelly they are the best players," Elvis said.

"I see one of them getting a prestigious award if they reached finals without any injuries," Elvis said confidently.

You don't have to worry I will put them into the team when it's necessary and when it's a must to win" Joy said.

"I have enough players I don't need to worry unlike last year," Joy said.

"How about the official meeting I reckoned that the time is not on our side here is the list and their phone numbers please make sure they all attend and let me prepare for them the evening meals," Joy said.

"Okay you don't have to worry I will do it right away," Elvis said.

Joy rushed to the hostel ad removed her back ad drove to the hypermarket in the city Elvis texted all officials Derrick was done playing football he was putting on his clothes the phone rang he checked it was the message inviting them to Joy's hostel for basketball team pooling he rushed to the hostel as the basketball players were done practicing they were heading back to their hostels Derrick was the first to arrive at the hostel Angela followed Angela got surprised to see that Derrick arrived early she walked into the hostel.

"My dear you came a bit early today," Angela said.

"At seven-thirty pm we will be having a meeting at Joy's hostel as you know joys hostel is wide enough to host the meeting all other university officials will be there but we are not going to crowd twelve officials," Derrick said.

"Why Joy's hostel why not do it in a hotel?" Angela asked.

"For confidentiality, if the teams know early their opponent's players of either of the sides can be bought and you will find the competition very boring and not interesting": Derrick said.

"I am new in this competition I don't know that even a university competition could be fraud," Angela said.

Joy arrived from the hypermarket Charity came to assist her to prepare food for the committee she removed what she bought from the supermarket and placed them in the fridge and also made sure Derrick's favorite drink is safe they prepared the food as Elvis made sure that all the official attended the meeting, Charity realized the drink joy brought she was surprised.

"You mean after you will be having romantic moments with your boyfriend?" Charity asked.

Joy looked at her and laughed.

"Who is that boyfriend I don't have a boyfriend at this university" Joy said.

"Then what is the campaign for I know it's for a romantic escapade" Charity reiterated.

Joy kept quiet she didn't want to disclose what she wanted to do they continued preparing food and also preparing a place where the officials will conduct the meeting Elvis was the first to arrive.

"Hope everything is okay all officials have confirmed that they are coming," Joy said.

"All of them confirmed through text that they are coming since it's a crucial event they won't miss," Elvis said.

Joy and charity prepared the food as Elvis sat to wait for the officials at exactly six thirty pm they started arriving at seven pm all were there Elvis welcomed them the food was ready but Joy wanted to be served after the meeting kicked off chaired by Elvis and the pooled the teams at exactly eight pm they had already done the pooling Derrick wanted to excuse himself he had already missed Angela.

"Derrick where are you going we have food and also drinks we need to enjoy ourselves before we call it a day" Joy said.

Derrick sat as charity served them food Joy thought about how she will keep Derrick to delay him to enjoy his favorite drink she thought and came up with the idea.

"The rest of the union officials are free to go but the host university official should stay for quite a long we need to discuss something," Joy said.

Elvis and Derrick had to remain behind and Joy entertained them and served them with wine Derrick realized that joy is holding his favorite drink he sat to be served and they enjoyed the drinks Derrick and Elvis started being intoxicated charity realized that joy was after something she saw how he entertained Derrick.

"What is joy after?" Is she after Derrick's love?" She asked herself

Joy sat with Derrick and drank together as she add drinks to his class Derrick took the drinks as joy played some music to entertain them Derrick became so drunk and forgot himself Elvis was also very drunk they stood for a dance for a while Derrick fell on the floor because he was too drunk Elvis sat and lay his head on the table.

"Help me we take Derrick to my bedroom," Joy said.

"What you want to sleep with Angela's boyfriend?" Charity asked.
