THE MEETING
The lights in the Dart submarine flickered as the aged craft changed direction, beginning its ascent from the underground waterway. Rivulets of murky, toxic water slid down its hull as the machine emerged into a channel running through the centre of a small cavern hewn from the ice.
“Welcome back to the Metro.” Gwendolyne popped open the top hatch and the group emerged into the dim light of the cave’s natural bioluminescence. “Let’s hope it goes better than last time.”
