“It doesn’t make what he did O.K.” the officer responded hastily to Brad's outburst. “Any wolf that would harm his mate in such a way, doesn’t deserve to walk among us. But-“ the officer looked at Melanie sternly. “-are you sure that you didn’t lead him on in any way to think this was O.K?”
“That doesn’t excuse him from drugging her!” Brad roared out, standing up so swiftly that he sent the chair he was sitting in flying back against the far wall.
“I’ve barely ever said five words to him aside from giving him my coffee order,” Melanie said crossly.
“Why didn’t you take her to the hospital?” the officer asked swiftly. “If she was drugged, you should have taken her to the hospital.”
“I-I-“ Brad spluttered. “I didn’t know…she was knocked out and…” Brad trailed off realizing the office
