After the girls went upstairs, Asani seized his chance to interrogate Jamba. "What did you do? " "Nothing she didn't give me consent to do, brother," Jamba answered through gritted teeth. Asani watched him as his eyes drift upwards to peer at the ceiling as if he had x-ray vision. "She will be back soon enough, but you must control your impulses from now on," Jamba's gaze fell, to rest squarely on Asani. Then he replied, "I don't have the faintest idea what you're blabbering about." "Oh, I see. You're confused. Permit me to enlighten you," Asani leaned nearer and sniffed. "Ah, isn't that your musk I smell, permeating the air?" Jamba clenched his jaw in response. "In fact, it is all over Maura, too. So, I will ask once more. What happened? You have never marked a female before."
