I sat on a chair, facing the green waters of the lake outside the rest house. The serenity of the place brought peace to my aching heart. It's been a week, and still, I can't move on from the pain. I thought Liam had somehow developed feelings towards me while we were together. I guess, I was wrong to assume that he would fall in love with me. It was my fault for hoping and believing that something that magical could happen.
