CHAPTER 21

I gagged but nothing came out. Although my stomach churned so painfully in my abdomen, I had tears streaming down my cheeks and this lump building in my throat. The world seemed to be spinning around me and I was feeling weak all of a sudden. I went back into the bedroom and chugged down a full glass of water before I dazed back to sleep.
I woke up after some time again, still feeling like s**t. I took a shower and got dressed for the day. There was no sign of Viktor. He hadn’t come to see me this morning like he did yesterday. With a frown on my face, I went downstairs to get something to eat. The sickness still remained inside me but I hoped that it would soon go away.
Viktor wasn’t downstairs at well. I found Mikhail working around the house, completely ignoring me.
