Chapter 14 Seetha flinched when the mag-drop opened back home in her grow tank. Fierce, cold wind drove churning white waves over the piers. The lights overhead were a dull grey, and rain poured from the artificial sky. Third day of a rest week. A scheduled storm day. Seetha knew some of the newly seeded species settled better with the rough weather, or the illusion of it. She suspected station management wanted to guarantee that tank workers would take a couple of rest days after the strain of harvest. No help for it. Her normally pleasant walk was going to be a nasty cold shower, the last thing she wanted after the horrid decontamination.
