Chapter 7 Seetha clapped her hands over her ears at a shrieking alarm, pulsing and echoing through the empty platform. All the metal doors leading to the mag-drop slammed shut. She stepped back from the blazing red archway and bumped into something hard. Something trying to grab at her arms. She whirled to see the sleepy kid transformed into a terrifying masked creature. Eyes wide and blazing, forehead rigid and furious, mouth and nose hidden by grey plastic. He was trying to snare Seetha’s wrists in black cuffs. She fought back her impulse to shove him and run, instead holding up her hands by her shoulders. “Please, kill the alarm! I’m not going anywhere.” He smacked at the side of the archway, and the awful noise and flashing lights stopped. His muffled voice cut through the ringing
