Chapter 5
“Wake up. You okay, man?”
Billy’s eyelids fluttered open. Matthew towered over him with a worried expression smeared across his face.
“What’s going on?” Billy asked, his memories slowly returning.
“I finished downstairs and came up here,” Matthew said. “Where’s Reese? Did he hit you or something?”
“I don’t know where he is. I tripped,” Billy said as he sat up and rubbed the back of his aching head. “And really tripped, not abused dude tripped.”
“All right. Maybe he went down the back way?” Matthew guessed. “Girls should be back soon with the pizza and beer.”
“That would be nice. I hear it’s a good idea to drink after hitting your head.”
Matthew helped Billy to his feet and the two left the bathroom. The door slammed shut behind them with a bang.
