Chapter 2

The beginning: A rare genetic disease leaves our heroine Mattie Hughes with huge bumps and boils that cover her face. She is relentlessly teased at school because of it and even loses friends. Ryan, the other smart kid in her class, takes up for her whenever he sees her getting bullied, and they strike up a friendship until the bad boy jock, Mark, shows his interest in Mattie. Rising Action: She quickly falls in love with him even after Ryan warns her against it. Mark is a notorious bully, and Ryan feared she would get hurt. Mattie, on the other hand, was not having it and continued on with Mark up until homecoming. That night, she gives herself to Mark, and the following day at school, he brushes her off and admits that he only dated because of a 200 dollar bet between him and the guys on the ice hockey team. Devastated by his revelation, Mattie skips graduation, and when Ryan goes looking for her, she sleeps with him too, knowing she would be leaving for college the next day. Climax: 6 years later, Mattie returns looking absolutely breathtaking, but not only did her appearance change, she also had a little boy with her who looked exactly like her. Ready to face her past, she starts her new job at her fathers company, where she bumps into Mark. He had also been hired there, and now she was his boss.( funny how life works) She makes it a point to avoid him even though he actively chased her but he becomes more unhinged when finds out about her son demanding to know who his father is. Falling Action: Unmoved by his antics, Mattie prepares for a gala in honour of her father and there she bumps into Ryan, she avoids him too but is shocked to find him at her house the next day. He sees her son and then she finally explains she found out she was pregnant after she left but she didn't know who his dad was.Happy to have her back he pulls her into a passionate kis and confesses his feelings to her. While they start a new relationship, Mark starts his campaign to prove her son is his. Climax: Everything comes to a head when Mark kidnaps her and her son and forces Mattie to do the paternity test. She agrees, and as they wait for the results, Ryan tracks them down and rescues them. Mark is arrested, and Ryan takes them home. To Mark's surprise, Mattie son turns out to be Ryan's, and he is sentenced to jail for kidnapping and assault. Mattie finally gets to have her happily ever after with Ryan and her little boy, Frankie.This story is unique in the sense that it tells a story of kids from 3 different backgrounds and grew up to have different lives.
