My body was sore and it still hurt everywhere. I just remembered my mate marking me.
I opened my eyes and I found myself in a very unfamiliar place. It wasn’t unfamiliar as a different place but altogether a different universe.
I jerked and sat up. I wasn’t expecting to open my eyes to clouds right in my touching distance.
Did I die?
The question churned my stomach in the wrong way. I was worried and wanted to know the answer.
I had just found the mate whom I thought I wouldn’t ever have, existed. I didn’t even get to spend a lifetime with him. I could only think how much it must’ve pained him since he had already marked me.
