VALENTINA’S POV

It was dark, completely dark. I only remember falling asleep at Ares’s cabin. I was feeling a burning sensation all over the place but I couldn’t open my eyes to stop it or do something about it.
Me – Onyx! Onyx! What’s happening to me? I yelled on the mind-link hoping that Onyx would reply something. I had never tried to call out for her unless in an utter emergency because she always told me that it was hard for her to reach out to me.
Onyx – Valentina, you’re going in the heat. She answered and I was surprised to hear her reply and also what she replied.
Me – What are you talking about?! I…I have to wake up and hold myself and Ares. He…what if he loses control? I was shaken by the response and was only stammering.
Onyx – You are under my control tonight.
