Being a Ninja

Christmas Time!

Mara's POV

Many time passed by and Christmas is tonight. We are getting the house ready for the celebration. It doesn't have that old aspect anymore, it seems very cozy now. We are finishing the tree.

"Who wants to put the star?" Soren asks.

"ME! ME!" Me and Miclair say, shaking our hands in the air.

"Why don't you put it together, then?" Luc suggests.

We nod and climb the chair to get to the tree top. The tree is high! We have to stretch ourselves to get to the top. We both grab the star with one of our hands.

As soon as the star is placed in its place, we lose our balance and fall off. The problem is: I land right on top of Miclair and our mouths are touching each other, as if we were kissing. We turn 30 shades of red, knowing that the others are staring at us. We get up very fast and I kick him in the head, mad.

"Duffers!" I say and turn my back on him, crossing my arms.

Miclair just seems confused, looking at me and rubbing his head in the place I kicked him.

Everyone laughs.

~Some Time Later~

I'm getting some wood for the fireplace with Miclair. We already got a good pile.

"There! I think it's enough for tonight" Miclair says.

"Yeah! Let's take into the house" I say.

We take the wood inside.

"Fiu! There! Now we'll have a perfect Christmas!" Miclair says.

"Hum.... There's still something missing..." I say, with my hand on my chin, looking at Miclair.

A grin comes to my face, when a marvelous idea comes to my head, while I’m still looking at Miclair. He makes a scared face.

"Oh no, you won’t!" He says.

"We'll see, we'll see...." I say, still with my tricky grin.

Soren's POV

We finished our Christmas dinner and Mara and Miclair just disappear! And it's almost midnight! Where the hell are they!?

I approach Cain, who is sitting on the couch, along with Luc. Amelia and Jack are on the other couch. I sit too.

"Hey, have you seen Mara and Miclair?" I ask.

"Nop! But I think I know what they're doin’" Cain says, with a huge smirk.

Someone hits Cain on the head.

"Ow!" Cain shouts.

We all look back and our jaws drop. It's Mara, in a sexy Mother Christmas suit.

"p*****t!" She says.

"Wow, Mara! That suit is awesome! Where did you get it?" Amelia says and walks to Mara. Me, my brothers and Jack are too shocked to say anything. We all still have our mouths open.

"Thanks! I bought it on a shop nearby" Mara says, smiling.

"Boy, that Miclair is a lucky guy!" Cain says to my ear.

"But where's Miclair, after all?" Amelia asks.

Mara smiles and walks to the door.

"May I present to you Santa Claus!" Mara says and opens the door.

Miclair smiles in his Santa Claus suit.

"Now everything's perfect!" Mara says, with a huge smile.

We all smile, seeing that she’s finally back to what she was. Mara and Miclair deliver the presents. We're all very happy. Now it's time for them to give their gifts to each other.

Mara's POV

I pick Miclair's gift and deliver it to him.

"Merry Christmas, Miclair! Or should I say, Santa!" I say, chuckling.

Miclair quickly opens his gift.

"Batman Special Edition Comic! I always wanted one!" Miclair says.

"Well, now you have one" I say.

Miclair hugs me tight.

"I'm gonna get your gift!" Miclair says and runs through the door.

"I thought it was already here!" I say to the others.

Miclair gets back really fast, with a big pack in his hands. I look at it, surprised.

"What is it?" I ask, taking the gift.

"Open up and find out!" Miclair says, with a big smile.

I open my present.

I think I'm going to blow with so much happiness. It's a big Teddy Bear, wearing a necklace with a star pendent. I hug Miclair and kiss him on the cheek.

"Thanks! Thanks! Thanks! I always wanted one!!" I say, still hugging Miclair.

"You’re welcome!" Miclair says, smiling happily and blushing.

I kiss Miclair on cheek again and he blushes more.

"And there's another thing!" Miclair says and grabs the Teddy, taking the necklace from it.

"Here!" Miclair says and puts the necklace around my neck. I pick up the star pendant.

"It's a star" I say.

"Yeah! For you to remember that you shine as much as a beautiful shining star!" Miclair says, with a bright smile.

I think I'm about to cry. No one ever gave me a gift that meant so much to me! I hug Miclair again.

"Thank you, Miclair" I say.

Miclair smiles and hugs me back.

After this, we all sit on the couch and watch a movie. I fall asleep on Miclair's shoulder.

~Next day~

Today we’re gonna get back to the city. We’re reading our stuff and putting it on the van. Soren puts in the last package.

"There! I think we're done" He says.

"Now we just need ta survive Mara and Miclair's singin' through tha trip!" Cain says, getting on the van.

Me and Miclair push him down and get in first. Cain falls right into the snow!

"Why you little...! Wait 'till I get my hands on you two!" Cain says and starts running after us, inside the van.

Luc, who was already on the van, says:

"Hey! Cut that out! Or we won’t even start the trip!"

Cain stops running after us and sits on the back sit, but he's still roaring at me and Miclair. The others come in too and the trip starts!

For Cain's doom, me and Miclair sing through the whole trip, and this time we don't stop! Heheh!

It was being good to t*****e Cain, but good things never last! We arrive the city and we have to stay alert for ninjas.

We get into the sewers very easily, though, and continue to the island. It seems like nothing is changed.

"It's strange... Maybe they gave up from looking for us" Luc says.

"The ninjas never give up. It's part of their nature" Master Itsuki says.

"Then it must be a trap!" Soren says, reading his katanas.

"Don't ya think they'd have attacked by now?" Cain says.

"Maybe they didn't even know where you guys lived" I say.

"What?!" They all shout.

"But you were the one who told them, when you weren't yourself" Miclair says.

"I know, and that's why I'm saying that maybe I didn't tell them at all" I say.

"I don't understand! Didn't you say you didn't remember what you've done?" Luc asks.

"For the most part of the time yes, but there were sometimes where I knew what I was doing and I think that when I was about to tell the Destroyer the location of the island, I was able to control my body and say that I would come with only a few ninjas and that I would kill you guys myself so he didn't need to worry about your location" I say.

"Gash, Mara! Why didn't you tell us this before?!" Luc says.

"We can't have total sure, when we're being possessed, if what we do is a dream or if it is reality. At the time, I thought it was safer for us to move out. Besides, when I woke up, you were already reading things to leave" I say.

"Hum...Well, one thing's for sure: the ninjas didn't find our home. So it's still safe to live here" Soren says.

We all smile and go back to our usual routine. Amelia and Jack go back to their home, Soren and Master Itsuki go meditate and Cain goes to train. Miclair sits on the couch and starts reading his new comic book. I sit next to him, holding my Teddy, and start watching a movie on TV.
