I stand in front of her. “There are few still breathing, Alpha,” A warrior responds to me. “Take them to the cells,” I snarl and turn to Lenore. “I thought I told you to go back to the packhouse.” “I was headed there, but I wanted to show you that I know how to fight,” She shrugs. “I am the alpha of this pack, and you are to follow my orders!” I shout. “I am your mate,” She argues. “That does not make you my equal,” I hiss.
