“Do you need anything, Luna?” One of them asks.
I sigh and think about what Torben said in the dream. I place my hand on my belly and sit up. “Can you get me a pregnancy test?”
Both nurses eyes go wide, “Really?” The Clumsy one claps her hands.
“Yes,” I nod.
“I’ll get you a test. Do you want me to alert the doctor?” The nurse asks.
“Just get me a test,” I say and lie back down.
“Yes, Luna,” she says before leaving the room.
I watch Torben’s chest slowly rise and fall. His heartbeat is steady, according to the monitor. He appears to have gotten some color back. I am almost back to sleep when someone enters the room.
“Here’s the test, Luna,” One of the nurses says.
“Just set it down,” I mumble to her. I close my eyes and fall asleep again.
