“Let’s get to work, Luna,” I say with a slight smile to Lenore. She looks so beautiful and regal in her outfit. I clasp her hand, and we walk out of our room towards the elevator. I am in a hurry to track the Cullins and return them to the cells.
Lenore is silent as we make our way to the cells.
“Are you alright?” I ask her.
“I’m fine,” she responds.
I feel guilty about our fight earlier and hate that she thinks I live to hurt her. I never want to hurt her. But she must understand that I can’t tolerate disobedience from anyone, not even my mate.
‘She wasn’t being disobedient,’ Set speaks up.
‘I told her if she was disobedient. I didn’t say she was being disobedient at the moment. She has to understand there are consequences to her actions,’ I huff at my wolf.
