I was fuming mad as I walked away from my bedroom. I thought things were moving forward between Lenore and me. She was told to get up and get dressed and meet me in my office. Instead, she goes back to bed. I cannot stand utter disobedience. She will have to be punished this time, no question.
I storm past Beta Garth on my way to the elevator. “Make sure Lenore is in my office in ten minutes,” I snarl at him.
“Yes, Alpha,” the beta responds.
I step onto the elevator and see red. ‘Maybe you should let her explain why she went back to bed,’ Set speaks up.
