Chapter 6

Antara's pov

" Um will you go on a date with me?"

It's the only thing is ringing in my ear

Did he really ask me to go on a date with him?

"Antara?" He asked waving his hand in front of me

"Huh?" I asked him dumbly

"Are you ok?" he asked me and I nodded

Did I dream about him asking me to go on a date with him?

Maybe I did otherwise why would he ask ME for a date?

"You are not dreaming about anything I did ask you about to go on a date with you. So tell me are you ready to go? I know it's too early to ask that but I like you so… " he trailed off

"Yes I will go with you." I told him even before I register what I said

Did I Really say yes to him? That too without asking amma? Without taking her permission? Like really? She will grill me alive ugh!

"That's nice. Then be ready tomorrow I will pick you up at 5 pm and don't worry I will drop you before 8 pm and will take Amma's permission as well." He said like he read my mind

"OK! I should leave now. Bye!" I told him but he hold my hand and my breath hitched in my throat

"I will drop you today and from now on my driver will pick and drop you." He said with authority still holding my hand not leaving any place for me to deny

"OK!" I whispered and tried to get my hand off from his hold but he did not leave my hand

"Please leave my hand!" I told him softly

"Ye haat chorne ke lie nahi pakda hai maine. Zindagi bhar ise tham ke rakhna hai (i haven't held this hand to leave it. I have hold it for lifetime.)" He said and I looked down while blushing hard

What did he mean by this? Does he like me? But isn't it too early? I mean it's just a few days that he has seen me or noticed me.

I couldn't say anything anymore and let him take me back to the orphanage.

In the car I was thinking about everything. His family is so good and down to earth especially the ladies of this family.

Their behavior is so good towards everyone. And Anjali is a sweetheart. But I haven't seen his elder brother Mr. Anirudh Raichand yet in person.

I saw his photo hanging in the hall.

He stays outside mostly and everyone seems very terrified of him.

Anjali doesn't like to talk about him at all because he is a very strict and cold type of person.

And I really don't want to come in front of him ever. Because he looks scary and I'm scared of him.

His eyes are pitch black like devil ugh!

He looks so different from Aashish ji.

"We are here!" Aashish ji said and I looked outside we are here for real

"Thank you for dropping me off!" I told him and smiled at him

He came out of the car and opened the car door for Me like the gentle man he is.

I came out and mumbled a bye to him and literally ran inside the house…

Thank God no one saw him dropping me otherwise they would have created a fuss asking about him and eating my head. These kids are more mature than they should be.

But my Relief was short-lived when I saw a smirking Pakhi looking at me.

"Dropping to home huh? It's barely one week isn't it? And someone said ''why will someone notice her and here he is dropping her back home." She threw my words on my face only

"Pakhi come upstairs I have something to talk about." I told her and go upstairs without saying anything to her any more

Once I reached my room I ran inside the washroom and looked at my face that was all red.

I washed my face to calm myself down.

He asked me for a date yippee! I want to scream and dance in joy but I controlled myself from doing so

"Dii!" Pakhi called me and I go outside

"He asked me on a date and I said yes." I told her without beating around the bush and her mouth was hung open

"He did what?" she asked still shocked but looking at my face she composed herself and tackled me down with a bear hug

"Oh my god I'm so happy for you. Go ahead, it's just the start. Soon I will see you getting married to him and have so many cute babies." she said and I blushed more

"Oh shut up. It's just a date ok. Nothing serious." I told her and she rolled her eyes

"Yeah whatever helps you to sleep but when is the date." She asked me

"Tomorrow." I told her and she started to panic

Saying she doesn't have enough time to get me ready properly or find a proper dress is all.

"Calm down I will get ready as I do every time I won't do anything too much extra. Yes I will put effort but not too much." I told her and she sighed

The day rolled off so fast and it's time for me to go with him.

Amma has reacted positively about this. She was really happy with it.

I am dressed in a Peach pink embroidery work anarkali with net full sleeves and a net peach pink dupatta and have left my hair open.

Pakhi has done my makeup but did not over do it as I asked her to not too.

It's not that I don't know how to do make up but today I don't trust myself with this.

"Am I looking ok?" I asked her for 10th time

"You're looking more then ok di don't worry. Just smile and I'm sure he won't be able to see anything except your smile. You look beautiful in anything." She said and I got a text from him saying that he is here

I took a deep breath to calm myself down and go downstairs.

It's all feeling like a dream to me a beautiful dream that I don't want to be over but little did I know that this dream is nothing but the start of a never ending nightmare for me.
