I'm Grateful to Have You by My Side

No one knew since when Soren and the others had arrived or how far they had heard the conversation just now. But their carelessness is also supported by their sitting; Emma and Ethan had their backs to the entrance, while Hunter and Dante sat facing the coffee machines and cash register.  Being engrossed in chatting, no one paid attention to the entrance.  Vivian and Judith looked at Emma, the stares were sharp, and they were pointing at their cell phones. It was a code for Emma to check her cell phone. It turned out that Judith created an emergency group chat. In that group, there were Ethan, Hunter, Emma, and Dante. But sadly, no one checks their cell phone. According to Judith, Duke and Soren entered the cafe first, but since their hands were full, the two of them just walked to the warehouse.  As soon as Vivian and Judith came in carrying things, Duke and Soren went out to get what was left. That's where Hunter said he remembered about Soren. So the bad news, Soren heard the whole conversation. Vivian and Judith had taken a seat beside Emma, and in front of Ethan, Isaac sat beside Judith and motioned Duke to sit beside her.  This way, Ethan and Soren would sit far apart. At least the atmosphere wouldn't be stiff after that conversation. But it turns out they were wrong. As soon as Duke and Soren sat down, they all fell in silent. Ethan occasionally glanced at Soren, but every time he did, Emma and Hunter, who was on his right and left, always patted Ethan's thigh, thus taking Ethan's eyes off Soren. Soren smiled, the smile was deep, but there was no happiness in that smile. "I didn't mean to hide it," said Soren, looking at Vivian. "Back then, I still doubted you guys because the reason I approached you wasn't to be friends." Soren slowly turned his gaze towards Ethan. Ethan looked back at Soren. "The rumors are true, and I used to like you."  No one knows what to say at a time like this. Emma looked at Ethan, who lowered his head, and his eyes also accidentally met Hunter and Dante. Vivian looked at Soren, while Duke looked at Emma, who happened to be sitting in front of him, while Judith glanced in Duke's direction. "But it didn't last long, the love probably only lasted about two weeks, and it didn't go away because I saw Ethan, who seemed to be more interested in girls. I don't know. The love just disappeared, like when he came." "Because I continued to stick with Ethan, I accidentally started to get close to you, and I felt comfortable, so even though my love for Ethan has gone, I'm still with you. But at that time, there was a match, and the coach chose me as chairman. It made Abby jealous and made the rumors. Some of it is true, but most of it is not." "The duration is short if I think it's more appropriate to say you admire him rather than you like him." Soren immediately turned his gaze towards Hunter, and he nodded his head confidently. "I've even liked other people after I stopped admiring Ethan. So Ethan, don't feel guilty, okay?"  Ethan raised his head, then Soren's smile turned into a smile with a happy feeling. "I'm just grateful to have that feeling, and if I didn't like Ethan, maybe we would never have been friends. I might not be here."  Ethan smiled again. Soren nodded in return, then everyone smiled too, even Duke, who was sitting beside Soren, giving him a slight moan. And everyone laughed at the things Duke did, including Soren and Ethan.  "You two almost made me die young of a heart attack." Judith laughed as she slapped the Duke on the shoulder, making him look even more miserable. Dante pointed Judith's hand that hit Duke at Hunter, making Hunter burst out laughing. "But," Emma said, glancing mischievously at Ethan. "You didn't answer my question earlier." "Which one?" replied Ethan lazily. "Just when I said you looked sad."  The Duke, who had lost half his will for life, suddenly straightened up in his seat and looked directly at Ethan. At the same time, Ethan is holding his head in his hands. But Ethan himself shook his head, causing the others to voice how boring Ethan was. "Who knows, we might be able to help you, Ethan." "It's nothing serious." "But you can't focus." Emma was right, but Ethan wouldn't admit it. Ethan sighed. "So Mr. Pearson usually goes to a cafe after work." Everyone's eyes lit up. Even Vivian, who was relaxing just now leaning back against the chair, made a sudden movement by straightening her back. "But I don't know where the cafe is. I've asked him, but instead of telling me where, he gave me the wrong address," said Ethan while pinching his lips together. Emma covered her mouth with her hand. "He's that cruel?" Ethan covered his eyes with his hands as he nodded before finally inching his way to the table. "Don't you have a picture of him when he was at that cafe Ethan? Who knows, we might guess. "I have it, just a moment." Ethan then sends all the screenshots he has to their group. Now everyone is focused on seeing the photos that Ethan sent. Vivian and Judith even collaborated; They used Vivian's cell phone to show photos sent by Ethan, while they used Judith's cell phone to search the search engine. They intend to match the pictures on the search engine with those sent by Ethan. Emma joined them because she thought it was fun. Meanwhile, Hunter and Dante stared at Ethan, trying to cheer up their best friend because they couldn't do anything. "He's annoying. He only posts photos but doesn't include the location." Ethan nodded his head as the Duke spoke. "Don't worry, Ethan, we girls, will find him. You don't have to worry." Ethan curled his lips while nodding his head limply. "Thanks, Emma," he said weakly. Soren stared intently at the photo. He zoomed in and out of the picture, then moved to look at another image. Now and then, he looked back at the previous photo. For some reason, the cafe felt familiar to him. Weird, isn't it? But moments later, Soren straightened his back suddenly, widening his eyes. "I know where the cafe is."
