Chapter 4 - Her Revelation

1324 Words
Dylan loved Jessica very much, but Rosie was already back in his life. Rosie was beautiful, slim, and most importantly, simple—the way he would have preferred Jessica to be. So, it used to be easy for him to lift Jessica up to his chest and make love to her while standing in their bedroom, but now Jessica was too heavy for him to carry, and he couldn't do all the crazy love-making styles he used to enjoy because of her chubby body. Their s****l relationship as husband and wife had dwindled and become dull, and he could no longer engage in the fun things he liked to do with Jessica. Jessica was also preoccupied with household chores and taking care of their two kids, and Dylan didn’t like how their moments of fun had faded away. He found himself bullying Jessica daily about her weight, but Jessica usually smiled past it, not realizing he was serious. No matter what he did to annoy Jessica, she would only smile, never truly getting angry with him. This frustrated him because he couldn't leave their home to cheat on her or find some random woman to sleep with; doing so would ruin both his reputation and his company. If anyone who knew him saw him in a clubhouse or coming out of a hotel room with another woman. Jessica’s father was also a billionaire in their state and a very influential man. Dylan knew he couldn’t cheat on Jessica and have the wild s****l pleasure he always desired, but with Rosie back in the country, they had reunited. Dylan visited Rosie at her home, and she told him she was still single. She even encouraged him to divorce Jessica so they could be together again. In Rosie’s words, “Dy, you’re not the first man to divorce his wife, and you won’t be the last. So please divorce that woman you have at home, so we can marry, as you promised me when I was 16 years old.” Dylan remembered having s*x with Rosie at her home when she mentioned divorcing Jessica. He had actually lifted Rosie into his arms, crossing her slender legs around his waist in that particular s****l position he loved the most. Dylan agreed to divorce Jessica so he wouldn't feel guilty about cheating on her. Rosie even helped him prepare the divorce papers since he couldn’t bring himself to go to the courthouse or speak to his lawyer about it. He only provided Rosie with his full name, and Jessica's full name, too. He hadn’t even read the divorce papers she had prepared for him. Despite everything, Dylan still loved Jessica after all she had done for him. A part of him didn’t want to divorce her because she was not just his wife but also the mother of his two kids. Jessica had never done anything wrong to him, except for gaining weight. She truly loved him and supported him in becoming the billionaire he was today. Earlier, stepping out of the guest room, where he had slept the previous night and moving into the living room, Dylan saw his two kids playing and running around. It was already after 8 AM, and Dylan wondered what Jessica was still doing upstairs in their bedroom instead of preparing their kids for school. “Daddy! Daddy!” Caleb and Nina rushed to hug his legs when they saw him step out of the guest room and into the living room. Dylan carried Caleb up first with his right arm and then Nina with his left. He asked them, “No school today?” Nina looked just like Jessica, with her pretty yellow face and cute chubby cheeks, while Caleb resembled Dylan with his dark skin and short black hair. Caleb shook his head and replied, “I don’t know, Dad.” “Mmm, okay, wait, let me find out from your mummy. And don’t play rough with your sister, okay? I’ll be right back.” Dylan proceeded to climb the living room stairs, knowing that he had fired their last maid and instructed Jessica to handle all the house chores alone. So that she wouldn’t just sit lazily at home. Dylan went upstairs and walked into the bedroom, where he saw Jessica crying on the bed in her sleeping state, loudly calling his name and screaming. Before he knew it, he rushed over to her, scooping her up in his arms, and trying to wake her from her dream. “Jessica, babe, it’s me, Dylan. Wake up! I’m here now, babe.” Dylan shook Jessica visibly to wake her as she kept crying out his name. “Dylan, please don’t send me away. I’m sorry, Dylan. Dylan, please…” “I’m here, babe. I won’t send you away. Wake up now, Jessica. I’m here…” Dylan didn’t know if this was one of Jessica's tricks to make him reconsider the divorce, but he hadn’t seen her in this state before, and it worried him. He finally managed to wake her up. Jessica’s forehead was covered in sweat, along with her face, as she had been crying in her dream and begging Dylan. But as she heard his deep, masculine voice close to her ear, her eyes finally blinked open, and she looked up at his handsome face. She met his sharp blue eyes. “Dylan…” Jessica slowly called his name to ensure he was really there. She stretched her right hand upward to touch his chin and jawline, making sure he was truly with her and not just a figment of her imagination. As she caressed Dylan’s jaw, Jessica blushed under his strong blue gaze. She couldn’t believe he was actually in their bedroom with her, remembering that he had left her to sleep alone on their big bed the night before. Seeing Jessica finally awake, Dylan carefully sat her up on the bed and moved away from her. He stood up and stared at her coldly. Dylan raked his short black hair in frustration as he met Jessica’s gaze. She felt embarrassed realizing she had cried throughout the night and even during sleep due to her nightmare. The dream seemed so real; Jessica had seen Dylan throw her things outside, and as she kept crying and calling his name. Dylan had come back to his senses and didn’t send her away again. Confused by the strange woman in their home. Dylan had refused to send Jessica away, after which the strange woman angrily left. Jessica knew she had to consult her pastor to pray against any strange women trying to destroy her marriage. As she looked at Dylan, who stood beside their bed raking his short black hair, she noted how he was staring away from her. His former gentle smile had turned into a strict expression, and he finally asked her, “Aren’t the kids going to school today?” “The kids?” Jessica looked perplexed, completely forgetting about her two children. She was still seated on the bed in her white nightgown. Using the hem of her nightgown to wipe off her sweaty forehead and tears, she sniffed and asked Dylan, “Which kids?” Dylan’s expression hardened as he repeated, “Our kids, Jessica. Aren’t they going to school today?” “Oh! I forgot! They’re already late!” Jessica jumped down from the bed, suddenly rushing to get out of the bedroom. Remembering she wasn’t wearing a bra or panties, she quickly walked back to the wardrobe to take them out. Dylan stood beside the bed as Jessica hurriedly put on her undergarments, not caring that he was watching her. Still standing beside the bed, Dylan watched as Jessica quickly grabbed her jacket and put it on over her white nightgown, before she finally rushed downstairs to meet the kids, as their rooms were still downstairs on the second side of the mansion.
