29| Wedding called off

Jessica finished her lunch meal in her room, after the maids had brought her lunch meal to her in the afternoon, And though it was already evening.

She went out from her room, and went downstairs to the living room to check on her kids, As she was still in her black suit skirt and inner white shirt.

Jessica alighted the living room stairs and saw Remy had arrived. They stared at each other in surprise, and she could see that Remy was boiling in rage.

"That b*stard. I could have dealt with him" - Remy cussed out angrily as he entered into the living room and he looked surprised in seeing Jessica too.

"Good evening brother, what's going on with you?" - Jessica asked him calmly, As her pretty red face had turned brightly yellow back, and she was no longer sobbing, only that her blue eyes still look dull.

"Nothing. I am just pissed off right now. Totally pissed off, Why must we keep on meeting gold diggers? Why?" - Remy questions, confusing Jessica the more, as only the both of them were in the living room.

"How?" - Jessica asked worriedly, and she watched Remy continuing pacing about.

The living room door pushed opened and Rex walked into the living room with Nina in his arms, as Nina was already sleeping.

Rex handed Nina over to a maid to take her upstairs to a room to sleep, As he had a long conversation with Stephen Edmond outside at their garage.

"What's going on Remy?" - Rex finally asked his older twin brother, As he saw the way, Remy had drove into the compound with full speed and parked.

"Hmm.." Remy didn't want to speak as he is so annoyed. He stared at his mother that also stepped downstairs into the living room with Caleb, and Remy greeted his mother - "Good evening mom."

"Remy.. What's with the look on your face?" - Mrs Anaya asked, as she bent slowly and said to Caleb - "Caleb ,go sit in the dinning table, I will join you soon."

"Okay mama, Mom" - Caleb hugged his mother's legs playfully, before he walked away to the dinning table.

Mrs Anaya smiled and looked back at Remy, And Remy spoke - "I don't have anything to say now mom, As the marriage between me and Sharon Kelvin has been cancelled."

"What!! Why's that??" - Mrs Anaya looked shocked as the wedding is only in a week time.

Remy felt to break down in tears, and he brief - "She lied to me mom, that her parent are rich. But her parent are poor and also in the village, and she lives a fake life to please me.. Why??. She knew we hate poor people, and she created all those facade to fit into the rich people status.. I cannot believe that I fell for her scam.."

Mrs Anaya frowned and Jessica as well as Rex were rendered speechless.

Jessica didn't know much about Sharon as she only sees Remy uploaded photos of Sharon and himself on his chat status..

Jessica didn't know much of the lady, if the lady is actually a nice lady or not. Or rude actually.

Jessica said - "But do you to love her??. All that should matter is that you both are in love brother.."

"Love?? " - Remy scoffed and looked at Jessica angrily.

"The same love that Dylan used to deceive you . I actually saw him here at the gate, but I already chased him away.."

"You did what?? Dylan was here, How could you send him away?" - Jessica asked out, as she hadn't thought that Dylan would showed up in her family mansion..

Although she knew that she had switched off her phone, to stop seeing anything that's trending online about him, and Remy spat - "He's not allowed in here, and why are you even here anyway, If not because of him.. That Lunati.."

"Is okay Remy!! Just stop it!" - Jessica raised her voice back at her elder brother.

She said - "Can you just stop insulting my husband in front of my kids and I, I know that you don't like him, but don't call him all those names here please . He's not a bad person" - Jessica retort, fighting back the urge to sob.

"Calm down Remy.. We can understand that you're also heartbroken and Jessica is also heartbroken too. You both just need to calm down, as I don't know why your fates are like that.. But Sharon is a nice person, and I have meet with her countless times here, whenever you bring her around. I don't think that she will turn out to be like Dylan.." - Mrs Anaya said, but Jessica got madder.

"Mom!! Can't you use another person to create example or make reference to your explanation..I cannot stay here and listened to all these anymore about my husband.." - Jessica stormed away, and went back upstairs to her room leaving her mother speechless.

Luckily, the dinning room was farther away from the living room, and has a door too,separating the dinning hall from the living room.

Caleb sat quietly alone at the dinning table and enjoying the special delicacies that were served to him.

He pick up the big fried chicken laps and ate it, as he want to be quick with his breakfast, to return back upstairs to his bedroom, and finish up the game that he was playing before.

Remy shook his head and replied to his mother, shortly after Jessica left them. He said - "No mother. I cannot put up with Sharon again. Truly I love her and want to marry her.. But she will one day turn out to become like Dylan, after she scam me off my wealth, As she's nothing but a pretender.. I will send the wedding cancellation card to all our invited guests and also made it officially on my social account page, that my marriage with Sharon has been called off."

Remy walked to climbed the living room stairs. His mother frowned and asked him - "Remy, Won't you give this a second thought, before making it officially. Think about the moments that you had shared with Sharon and reconsider marrying her.. I want you and Rex to settle down this year,."

"No mother.. A pretender will always be a pretender. If she was true to herself, she should have been true to me from the onset and knowing how much I love her.. Three years of dating and full of pretense and lies.. No way."

Remy climbed the living room stairs to retire back to his bedroom on the top floor and Mrs Anaya gulped all she had wanted to say.

She looked back at Rex and asked him - "You ain't saying anything to the two both of them? As you just sit down here casually like you ain't a part of us?."

Mrs Anaya frowned and Rex stood up from the couch that he sat on and still on her red trouser and white shirt.

He said - "Mother, matter of the heart are quite complicated, and I don't have time advising anyone in love. it's none of my business and they will all get their rewards for falling in love in the end ."

"What do you mean by that Rex?? Ain't you going to get married too?. Even though is a rich young classic lady?." - Mrs Anaya asked confusedly as Rex approached her.

"Not now mother.. I am still enjoying my life, before I think of marriage . Good or bad, I will eventually get married, but not to fall in love with my wife.. So if she wakes up tomorrow morning and decided to leave me.. I will still be fine and doing as I was doing before I met her. To hell with love.. it's a deceitful word and the earlier Remy and Jessica realised that the better for them to move on with their lives.."

Rex smiled at his mother as he saw her jaw left agape. He said - "Come mother, let's go and have something to eat, and let them deal with their hearts alone..if we go to advice them, Remy will think I am jealous of his relationship, or wanting him to end up with a fraudster as a wife.. while Jessica would as well think I don't want her happiness. So come let's go and eat.. Dad isn't yet back from his business trip, when he comes back, I think he's in better position to speak to the two both of them."

Rex approached his mother, he hug her gently by her shoulder and walk with her to the dinning room.

Mrs Anaya couldn't said anything again, as she knew that Rex was right, but she isn't happy that Rex wasn't in any relationship, and he secretly hosted a lot of young ladies, with only a night stand each.

Mrs Anaya silently prayed in her heart for Rex to fall in love soon, so he could give her more grandchildren, Aside from Jessica kids.

She walked with him to the dinning hall and saw that Caleb was busy eating his food alone.

"Wow Caleb, You are almost through with your meal, and didn't even waited for us?" - Rex asked Caleb, as he smile at the little boy.

It was already night time, and Rex didn't have the time to hate on Jessica kids because of Dylan . He knew Remy didn't like Caleb, because the little boy resembles Dylan, but Jessica had openly warned them, not to transfer their hatred for Dylan to her innocent kids.

Nonetheless, Rex didn't cared about Dylan. He only disliked Dylan, but loves to pamper Jessica, and as Jessica was already behaving too heartbroken and matured for him to pamper her like before in their younger days. He decided to pamper her kids, and most especially Nina that look so much like Jessica.

Rex and Mrs Anaya settle on the dinning seats across to Caleb, and they join the little boy in having dinner.

When Caleb was through with his meal, He asked - "Mama, How about Nina food? She has not eaten since?."

Mrs Anaya looked surprised, and she quickly replied - "Not to worry, I will personally feed her when she wakes up.. " - Mrs Anaya was surprised to see that the little boy truly cares about his little sister, and that indeed soften her heart while Rex remain quiet, as he watch Caleb bowed to them and told them - "Good night then. Sleep tights."

Mrs Anaya smiled, and after Caleb left the dinning room, she said - "Jessica indeed raised a good boy.. He's so humble."

"Hmm" - Rex didn't replied to that, as he only continued eating his dinner silently.
