Dylan met his mother’s gaze as she stepped out of Jessica's ward. She shook her head sadly and started walking away down the hallway toward the elevator.
"Mom!" Dylan called after her. When he saw that she didn’t want to speak to him, he followed her into the elevator, and they both descended to the hospital lobby.
"Mom, why are you leaving? Won't you come and see my wife and my baby?" Dylan asked.
Mrs. Angela Robinson stopped beside her car in the parking lot. She looked at Dylan as they stood outside the hospital car park and replied, "I have already seen Jessica and my grandson, Dylan. Jessica is the only daughter-in-law I know and will have from you. How can you send your wife and baby away while hosting another woman in your house?"
